guech juddy Attempted PayPal Cars.com SCAM! Poolesville Maryland
Person attempts to phish for your paypal info claiming to be buying whatever you're selling for their sons birthday. They contacted me about my ad on cars.com below is our communications after they text me from what they claimed to be a work number they couldn't reply from (240-489-5489) so to reply to [email protected] :
Me:
Hey there! This is (me) just replying to your text. Yes the Corvette is still available, I just listed it for sale yesterday. I did however wake up this morning to your message along with 4 others so I'm not sure how long it will last. If you are a serious buyer please give me a call any time direct at 214-***-****. Also you can email me any questions you might have. I have gone ahead and attached some more photos as cars.com would only let me upload 5 of them.

Thanks I'm just asking about it to make sure its in good condition as im buying it for my son as a birthday surprise gift and he doesn't know about it, so can you assure me i will not be disappointed? My Mode of payment is PayPal because i don't have access to my bank account online, but i have it attached to my PayPal account. Since I'm requesting this transaction to be done via PayPal, I will be responsible for all the Paypal fees/charges on this transaction, if you don't have an account with paypal, it's pretty easy, safe and secure to open one. Just log on to www.paypal.com. I hope we can make this transaction as fast as possible. Less I forgot, I have a Mover that will come for pickup once payment is cleared in your paypal account and they will be handling the title for me, as I look forward to hearing from you with your PayPal information as requested below.

Absolutely ZERO disappointments. As stated in my AD this is one of my personal vehicles that has been garaged kept and maintained meticulously. It looks just as good as it does in the pictures. In my opinion it is one of the nicest on the market. Car is priced firm at $34,998 including transfer of warranty. If you'd like to purchase without the warranty I will discount it to $34,500. Please call me to discuss payment.

I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up My private courier agent will come for the pick up and sign all necessary documents on my behalf after the payment have been made as they will also be coming with all the information needed, my details and transferring the name of ownership to me will be done by the pick up agent so you don't have to worry about that

Sorry bud you've been flagged all over the place for the same "paypal payment" "Gift for my sons birthday" scam. If you plan to continue this you may want to consider stepping it up notch, all communication from you reeks of scam. Its all in the details.
