Took Possession May 1/04

Have had numerous problems some, which are small and not very expensive to resolve, Gulfstream will cover under warranty.

Others which are major and over $10,000 CDN to repair will not, according to Gulfstream be repaired under their Warranty. These include:

-Water in the roof between a layer of batt insulation and flex-foil insulation. We have had an independent assessment done of this unit and the Tech believes that the structure of the roof is the cause of the problem. This layer of flex-foil which is actually foil bubble wrap acts as a vapor barrier trapping the moisture in the roof. The roof is beginning to smell which is no doubt caused from the insulation beginning to mould. The added weight of the water in the roof area of this unit will eventually cause the ceiling panels to collapse.

We reported the ceiling making a lot of creaking noises to both the manufacturer and the dealer back in July/04

The unit was in the Dealer's shop for 4 weeks in September/04 and the roof area was never checked out.

Gulfstream (John Bruhn) is telling us that we never did all we could to control the moisture but we believe we have as we have ran a de-humidifier since the date of possession. Gulfstream on the other hand neglected to vent the exhaust fan above the cooking area. John Bruhn also told us that we never did all we could to get the unit in for repairs which is not true. We have e-mails dated back in May requesting service on this unit.

-We had a drain pipe from the washing machine come apart and our heated storage was flooded. We discovered that this drain pipe was never glued together. Not only was the storage area flooded but the sub-structure below it was as well. We dried out this area for 3 days with electric heaters but can now smell a musty rotting odor. Further to this, on November 8/04 when we took the unit to our Dealer regarding the roof,we discovered that there was still water trapped in the underbelly of the unit. This was discovered when we stopped along the highway to check our trailer as we always do on trips.

-Since the date of possession, we have had a sewer smell coming from the kitchen sinks and the air conditioner when it is running. We notified both the Dealer and Gulfstream of these matters but no one really seems to care.

-We ordered the unit with the Arctic Package which included 12 volt heat pads on all the holding tanks, we do not have these installed on our unit but have been told by the service manager , at the Dealership of purchase that they are there and they run on automatic thermostats that's why there are no switches. Out & out lie, there are NO heat pads on the unit at all.

We believe we were ripped off by both the Dealer and the Manufacturer Gulfstream as they are the ones that built this unit for re-sale on the Consumer Market and it is unfit for the purpose it was intended. We were promised before purchasing thie unit that it was excellent for year round use and are now being told that we can't use it for the 4 seasons. We were told that Gulfstream honored all their warranty and they never had any problems with it. So far everything seems to be a lie and we believe we were ripped off big time. We definitely deserve a refund on this product, if there was ever a "Lemon" built, this is it.

We would forward pictures, Lord knows we have enough regarding the problems with this unit, but how do you take a picture of a smell or of water in the roof if the roof is still closed up? Can forward other pics of the unit to those that request them.

Owned an Okanagan, should have kept it, best unit on the market.

Want our money back, all $79,900 of it plus the Tas, extended warranty coverage, Life & Disability and what ever else we paid for.

Ok, I am sad to say that I am employed by Gulf stream coach and man do some of us try to make these things right. Our Quality Control Control and Systems Check people are paid $10 an hour and has no say in what goes out the door they do not have the power to stop the line or anything if she doesn't agree all she can do is write it on a piece of paper that no one will ever read most likely. As for the ones who build them they are making about a grand a week the quicker it's out the door the more they make. But there are a few of us there that do have pride in our work though and try oh do we try. Your right I would never ever buy one of their units because I see the bull crap they let go out that door. But just so everyone knows there are a few good ones left still trying, granted it gets us nothing but treated like s**t but we do. So sorry u have had these troubles but maybe they held let u talk to employees before purchasing that led change it mind for sure.

GULF STREAM COACH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT QUALITY CONTROL ANY MORE THAN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!! buy another one?? NEVER!!

To the powers that be at Gulf Stream Coach I would like to state that perhaps they should put more emphasis on quality control and customer satisfaction regarding their "Warranty" on these "high end" units their plant spits out by the dozens. Wonder if people that work at GS buy the crap they build? Probably not. Pretty shoddy workmanship. Warranty, what's that? Every excuse under the sun not to cover anything that goes wrong with the coach. They'll run you ragged taking pictures, answering their little questionaires and double talking you on the phone. Don't waste your breath trying to deal with these no brainers. More important, don't waste your money on their products. Dan Shay - Owner of GS Coach promised our dealer in person he had taken care of us. That was last fall!! Right, we're still waiting. We've found insulation missing in the roof as well as water, the sewer leaks into the underbelly, drain pipes aren't glued which leads to water leaks not to mention damage. 14 months and still no window for the one that the seal was gone in when we purchased the unit. Laminate floor buckling, vent above stove top NOT vented. Sub-floor missing in areas in the unit and the floor drops off ~ 3/4", sewer smell eminating from kitchen sink just to name a few of the problems. How about paying for options we never received in the unit? Like ALL Dual Thermo pane windows, heat pads on ALL the tanks and hey let's not forget 3 Auto-vent Fantastic Fans. But yup, you're a reputable company. Hey, not to worry, guess we should have known better than to deal with the likes of you. We know, it's ALL our fault. We just love spending money on products we never receive. Yah right. Blow it out your poop shoot GS Coach. Get some quality control happening at your plant and take care of your customers that spend a fortune on these "HIGH END" units. LMAO about that one! High End, they wouldn't know what high end was if it was mapped out in vivid color with crayons!! I hope your company goes down slowly and you suffer long and hard as we have. Maybe by the time there's nothing left to salvage you'll wake up and figure it out that perhaps the consumers that buy this garbage you build are after all lining your pockets. Never in my life seen such BS when trying to get something fixed. Well all you people at GS that we've dealt with over the past 14 months you can relax. We've had the best offer in our lives. Sam Osman of CARS RV & MARINE has very generously offered to buy our Yellowstone 5th Wheel back from us. Thank Goodness for someone that has the insight to know we were totally ripped off. Thank Goodness Mr. Osman has the foresight to look after his customers even if you don't. Hope he's in business a lot longer than you are. All you had to do was give us the options we paid for and fix our unit under Warranty but NO, your to cheap. Well you just lost a host of future customers. We tell everyone we know to NEVER buy a Gulf Stream product UNLESS they want to waste their money on a bad investment. I hope you all sleep well at night. You must - they say guilt has no conscience. Well Gulf Stream Manufacturers sure can't have one. They DO NOT take care of their customers, nor do they take care of the units they build. Hell they can't even build them properly maybe that's why they don't want to warranty them after their sold. Hmmmmmm, maybe that's it????? They know one problem leads to another. They just leave the Dealership holding the bag. You rip off everyone don't you? Yup, It's just SAD, SAD, SAD!!!!!!!!!! Huge corporation like this ripping off the little guy. They say don't get mad, get even. Well this report will stay on here forever. Was it worth not fixing our unit??????? Maybe in the end you should have spent the 12-15 grand to upgrade our unit to what we ordered and paid for AND to repair the problems we had. HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW DAN SHAYE-OWNER, JOHN BRUHN, JOHN SMITH, TONY SUDDON & d**k CRAWFORD??????????? I'm now the proud owner of a Keystone Cambridge. Might have considered another Gulf Stream product had you taken care of business. Hey, did you see that?? There goes another potential customer. Lucky guy! Never bought a Gulf Stream!!!!!!!

STILL NO WARRANTY!!!!

14 Months after the purchase, our Gulf Stream Yellowstone is being repaired but it's not thanks to Gulf Stream Coach. They still refuse to repair any problems with our unit BUT........ KUDOS!!!!! to Mr. Osman The Owner of CARS RV & MARINE! Not only did the gentleman contact us, he personally drove to our present place of residence to meet with us and hear our side of the many very unfortunate events that occurred between his then Employed Staff and ourselves. Mr. Osman was more than courteous and willing to listen. He brought an RV Tech with him and together we addressed each and every problem concerning our Gulf Stream Yellowstone. He agreed that our unit was not as it should be and offered to repair it as necessary to bring it to the standards we expected. Should this not to be to our satisfaction, he would make us a very generous offer to get out of the unit we are in and start fresh in a new one. In our wildest dreams we could never have expected this from this man and the Company that we have literally been at war with for over 14 months. We have come away with a new respect for not only CARS RV & MARINE but also for the Owner, Sam Osman. He and his new staff are willing to do whatever it takes to turn a terrible situation around. A situation that was caused not by them, but by the previous Sales Manager Randy Storr, and his gang of lazy, lying cronies. Unfortunately at this time it is not them that are suffering but Mr. Osman and his dealership. There is however an old saying what goes around; comes around. Hopefully for every unsuspecting RV consumer out there, it's coming round your way real fast for Gulf Stream and Randy. Randy, we would like to know how you and your crew that follows you around from dealership to dealership live with yourselves? How do you and your so called men treat people like you do and sleep at night? Have you never heard of human kindness, courtesy, honesty and truth? Or is the creed you all live by manipulate, lie, cheat, steal and scam? You should work directly for Gulf Stream and bypass the Dealerships!!! In defense of Mr. Osman I would like to state that he did not go to badbusiness.com to check and see if his business was on this site. The report that was filed by me was faxed to Mr. Osman by the same ex-employee that accused him of stealing from his employees. It was faxed from the new dealership where Randy and his co-workers are now employed. We saw the fax that was sent to Mr. Osman clearly showing not only the time and date but also the Name of the Dealership that sent it. Need I say more? Our deepest regret in all of this is that we never met with Mr. Osman in person when everything started to go awry. Perhaps if Randy and his crew had passed on the many, many messages we left for Mr. Osman to please call us, this nightmare would never have escalated to the point it did and we in turn would never have defamed CARS like we did. Frustration with Randy and his staff at CARS & Gulf Stream Coach drove us to say and do a lot of personally unethical things. For this we apologize to both Mr. Osman and his new staff at CARS. We toured CARS RV & MARINE today. Sam was there to greet us. He introduced us to his new staff and we could see that the winds that blow at CARS have changed. The people Sam hired as replacements are not full of hot air and turbulence scrambling to scam the next unsuspecting customer through the door as the old crew was. Their more relaxed in a polite but friendly, let's see what we can do for you today sort of way. No pressure, no lies, no manipulating, no cheating, no stealing and no scamming. Gulf Stream products are no longer found on the CARS RV lots. Their the kind of Manufacturers that don't stand behind their product, don't care about the customer that saves for years to purchase a high end product and they don't care about their dealers that try their hardest to satisfy customers that buy the Gulf Stream products. The Dealerships are very lucky if they even get paid for the Warranty Work that is authorized by Gulf Stream. It's sad when always lining your own pockets first is the bottom line. Gulf Stream is nothing more than a shell of the company it was prior to being divided into divisions. Customer Satisfaction means nothing to Gulf Stream, neither does the Warranty. It can't because it's only worth the paper it's written on. There's nothing to prove otherwise, we own one of the Gulf Stream top of the line units and we can attest to it. In fact on a list of RV Manufacturing Companies in North America, Gulf Stream ranks 31 out of 32 for Customer Satisfaction. That's not only bad for business it's just simply sad. I would think the founder of Gulf Stream never imagined in his worst nightmare that his business would go down to this level. They used to be the top of the list. Yes, it's just sad. After meeting with you Sam, we can honestly say that your Dealership will be first on our list of places to stop the next time we decide to purchase a unit. You went out of your way and literally bent over backwards to satisfy a previously irate, frustrated and very unsatisfied customer. Thank goodness you had the foresight to look beyond your previous staff and find out for yourself the kind of people we really are. You'll never know what that first phone call made to us that day meant. Mr. Osman, again we sincerely apologize to both you and your new staff. Congratulations to you all by the way! You have a super boss. It was quite apparent to us today that you truly care not only about your business but also your staff and your customers in this case being us. Without your intervention we would not be smiling this evening. We are at peace within ourselves knowing that you will do what you say you will do. Honesty is such a rare commodity these days. It was so nice dealing with a man of his word and we appreciate it very much. Perhaps Sam you should consider changing the name of CARS RV & MARINE to CAReS RV & MARINE. It would surely be appropriate because you truly care. No words can ever really express how much we appreciate what you have not only shown us but what you have proven. Thank you. Respectfully,
