Gunther's Gifts Secretly Overcharging as a Restaurant on billing statement, Internet
My fiance and I were trying to purchase some items for our upcoming wedding. The total on the screen after shipping, tax, everything came to $147.10. We used his prepaid debit card (we use that for online transactions) and it was declined, although there was approx. $160 loaded onto it. I contacted the card company and they said that the transaction was listed under "restaurant/food services" and they were attempting to charge us $176!! No wonder it was declined! This is why i dont use bank cards for things like this. I will not be purchasing ANYTHING from this questionable "company" again. Beware if you choose to, or use a prepaid card so that they won't be able to keep scamming your bank account!
