Guthy Renker Vita Power Crooks scamming innocent people Pueblo Colorado
In 2006 I ordered the Proactiv solution by phone. I tried it and it didn't work for me so I canceled it. I thought that was the end of it until a few weeks ago I was looking at my December 2007 bank statement. I usually don't have time to look at it, but for some reason I did.
I noticed a charge from GRC Vita Power for 33.94. I was not sure what that was until I went on a website and saw that it was a scam. I realized that it must have had something to do with the Proactiv.
I called Proactiv and they gave me a number to Vita Power. I called the number and was told that I had been charged for the vitamins monthly since November of 2006. That is a total of 475.16. She said that they were in promotions with Proactiv and they gave them my debit number. I was shocked, angry, and sick about it. I was never asked about any vitamins when I ordered the Proactiv. I had received about 3 boxes of vitamins over the past year and did not know why, so I threw them away. I did not receive 14 boxes. I asked to speak to a supervisor at Vita Power and she was not in. I called the number back later and had to sit on hold for an hour and then I hung up. I then called back again and the number was disconnected. I call proactiv back and they gave me a new number to call. I did manage to speak to a supervisor who told me they would reimburse me the last two months 67.88 (which I have received). I told her that it was not good enough that I wanted it all back and she hung up on me.
I called Proactiv again and told them that I held them responsible for this and they filed an electronic complaint. They said I should hear something back within 10-14 days, that was 19 days ago. I have called them back again and they sent another complaint. I Have also e-mailed Guthy Renker.
I went to my bank and they canceled my card. I really want just to get the money back because I have spent a lot of time on this and that is a lot of money that was taken from me when I was not even aware it was going on.
I have printed out bank statements from the past year showing the transaction of 33.94 taken out monthly by Vita Power.
We had checks bounce before and did not know why. I has cost me a lot of money and time and I just want it resolved. I know there are a lot of other people that this has happened to regarding this company.
