Thank God I can post a review without worry of frivolous law suits in return.

I am writing to warn others that this company will take your retainer and burn through it with such rediculous fees that you will never achieve your goal with this company.  They will take your high retainer and burn through it before any of your objectives have even been started... let alone achieved.

Beware - you've been warned.   I see I am not the only complaint they have on the internet.  Typical Ripoff lawfirm that makes a living charging retainers and then they threaten to file a law suit again me if I continue to complain about the ridiculous fees and fake charges they claim were expenses when nothing was accomplished.

Run from this company - they are a joke.

Glenn Merrick isn't a con-artist or a bad attorney.  I should know - I worked with him for years.  He is an accomplished attorney, who has won major lawsuits, representing both the plaintiff and defendant.  A case that a client brings to a law firm is only as good as the facts presented.  I have worked in law firms for over 25 years.  In almost every case I've worked on - there are always facts which come out in the discovery process which were never shared at the onset of the case.  Just because you had a bad result - doesn't make the attorney who represented you a bad attorney. It's a shame that you didn't have a favorable result - but I will bet that it has little to do with your representation and more to do with your set of facts.

"...before any of your objectives have even been started"  Interesting comment.  A client should work in partnership with his/her attorney - but the client controls two things:  hiring the attorney, and agreeing to any settlement.  Other than that - you don't run the show.  Would you get under the hood of your car when a mechanic is fixing it?  No, you allow the professional to do the work.  Your attorney cannot control what the opposing counsel/party does, and what your attorney has to do to work the case.  Every phone call, email or letter your attorney receives from the opposing party has to be responded to.  All of which is billed against your retainer.  Every time you pick up the phone or meet with the attorney or his associates/para-professional - your' retainer is billed.  The more you interject, the quicker your retainer diminishes.

Sounds like you just have a serious case of sour grapes - not bad representation.
