I found this apartment at 3001 w. 4th street aka "11 slums on 4th" on craigslist . I thought it was kind of pricey $600 a month plus a $400 dollar deposit for a dirty two room studio with cement floors and no carpeting but with cement floors the walls had not been repainted since the last tenant had moved out there was feces in the wall in the bathroom only the cement floor was painted but since they said i could have my small dog and the utilities were included, i was willing to rent it for the sake of the dog. During the time i lived there the tenant next door to me moved out. The owner was going to have that unit remodeled. For three months i was woken up in the early at 7:30am by the sounds of saws and hammering. This would not have been so bad except that I worked swing shift driving the city bus and did not get home until 3am the landlord took off 100 for the trouble (but it was not worth it) driving a bus full of people is dangerous when you don't get enough rest. Also during that time my refrigerator went out and i had to throw all my food in the garbage at my expense. She said it was fixed and gave it back to me. I went out and spent more money to replace the food only to have the same thing happen a week later and I again had to throw out my food I had bought again at my expense. I had also informed them that the shower water filth from the next door tenants was coming up in my shower. They never did anything about it ...I guess they just expected me to live with having someone else's filth come up in my shower drain and expected me to clean this unhealthy filth up.. They did nothing to correct the problem. Also, my toilet backed up an overflowed numerous times while i lived there and i had to clean that filth up too. Due to their eviction, i lost a $400.00 deposit with direct tv for not keeping their service for a year. I also need to add that during the summer months a lot of vagrants hang around this area, it seems many of them sleep in the area. I had one of them break into my car and attempt to break into my apartment during the time i lived there. In my opinion, these two lying lesbians are greed infested slumlords... I warn you, do not rent from the owners at haberae investments at 3001 west 4th st in Reno or any other property they advertise (usually on craigslist) you will be sorry. On october 21st i suffered a stroke and went to renown rehab hospital for a month to recuperate and get physical therapy. During my absence, my apartment was entered by the owner kelly rae without my consent. This happened again but the next time they entered my apt when i was not home and left the keys in the door (stupid idiots) after being gone for a month, i was to go to my apartment with my physical therapist to access needed ada adjustments so it would be easy to function. The alterations were not extreme I only needed a couple of grab bars in the shower to prevent falling, and a wedge for the front door threshhold so my wheelchair could move over it. At first owner kelly Rae was positive about the changes and insisted that we could make the needed adjustments without any problems. My 79 y/o father had come down from Redding CA to put these bars in for me at his expense. He was a licensed contractor and had over 30 years experience and would be able to do the work. but habarae aka Kelly Rae would not allow him to do the work. Although they did not seem to mind him cleaning the next door neighbor's filth that came up in my shower.The day I left the rehab hospital, we were to make the adjustments all of a sudden owner kelly rae did a complete turn around and wanted me to pay more deposit money to make the changes "(i had already paid a 400 dollar security deposit upon move in. This greedy woman wanted more. She also stated that she was not equipped to do "ada", did not advertise her seedy little slum as ada. The next day ( a day after I got out of the hospital,, some 400lb black woman knocked on my door and served me with a "no cause eviction notice" (which I guess means I did not do anything wrong, they just wanted to get rid of me). Knowing she was performing an illegal action she still did it. She told me she was the new manager on the property. I informed her that this was discrimination and that i would be fighting back by filing a housing discrimination complaint against the low life owners of the property . Due to the no cause eviction, I lost a 406 dollar deposit to direct tv for not keeping my service for a year, had to pay money I could not afford to lose on moving expenses of over $1000.00. This loss was caused by herbarae investments when they evicted me. If any one out there knows of a civil rights attorney i could retain please email me at (((REDACTED))) don't allow these low-life women to get away with this blatant act of discrimination and allow them to do this to some other diabled person. Tell these horrible people you saw this on ripoff report.com or (((REDACTED))). I want them to held accountable regarding their blatant act of discrimination as much as they made me suffer!

Kelly Rae, co-owner of HabeRae, is not dead. She is alive, and from several news articles in the last month, is working with her partner to redevelop the blighted areas of Reno.  It makes a person question the veracity of the complainant's original report about the conditions of the property.  Why did they not contact the city Code Enforcement, or the County Health Department?  The original poster makes no mention of attempting to seek recourse through these available paths.

 Kelly Rae the co-owner was srticken with cancer and died!  I guess what goes around comes around!
