Me and my husband were shopping at the mall when we passed this salon, Hair Plus, I saw a sign redken, buy one get one half off. The male tech (Scott) had to finish working on a woman hair to ring me up and he seemed snotty even then that he had to stop. I was leaving the salon when I looked at my receipt, I noticed the guy had rounded the 16.95 to an even 17.00 on both 16.95, items, it is not much but it is the principal of the thing. I thought I would mention it to him, I went back in ,and even though he saw me standing there he ignored me, he was not coming back to the counter. So I spoke to him from the other side and said that it is not right to round off customers totals, it is the principal of the thing. He shouted , I did not round off nothing lady! I was shocked, I said Yes you did , it is right here on the recipt and the tag on boxes say otherwise. He shouted again, I did not round off nothing, why dont you just leave, if you dont like it then dont come back!,it just 10 cents , he shouted. Now this is the honest truth, this guy shouted this in front of 2 other customers, he would not offer me the change back nor would he look at the rececipt, and one last thing. If he did not purposely round it off then how did he know it totaled 10 cents.??? I was shocked that he could act this way and the only reason I came up with is perphaps because he knows he can, he knows he will not get in trouble. Point proven, I called cooporate office, the district manager Iris Layne, has yet to return my call, perhaps she will who knows. I wanted to just return everything and get my money back, but I know that even though the receipt says I am entitled to a refund, he would not have honored that.

 As a long time hair plus client, I'm happy to say the male employee in question IS NO LONGER EMPLOYED THERE! I had also previously had bad experiences with him and was happy to hear that he left.

First off, it seems that you started the shouting when you yelled at him across the room when he went back to his customer and didn't run back to the counter to help you. And you weren't shorted 10 cents since it was buy one, get one half off. You were only shorted 7 1/2 cents. (5 cents for the full price, 2 1/2 cents for the half price). If 7 1/2 cents is going to get you this much in a tiff, maybe you need to buy Suave or the store brand product.

okay, yes what he did was wrong. agreed. but i think you need to pick and choose your battles. i think if you have this much time do fight over 10 cents, you are probobly one of those people who complains about a lot more then just this. is it honestly that big of a deal?
