Halifax Communications ripoff ripoff fraud business Ft. Lauderdale Florida
I sent Halifax Communications $42.00 on July 29, 2002. They were supposed to send me a stapler and supplies to staple and mail out and told me I would make over $2000.00 per week.
As of August 25, 2002 I have not received anything from them and have since talked to other people who sent them money months ago to never hear from them again.
I wonder if people like this realize that people who send them money usually have children and are struggling just to make ends meet. These people not only ripped me off but stole from my children as well!!

This is in response to the many people who have been scammed by supposed 'work at home' companies. First, think about what you are doing! Especially for this poor person who sent their hard-earned money, what did you expect? They quoted you $2000 per week !!!! to stuff envelopes or mail things for them? Is that income compatible with what you are doing? How could a legitimate company, if in fact they were legit, stay in business if they paid contractors this much money to do such a menial task? And especially since there are machines that can do the mailing/stuffing 3 times as fast as a human with half the errors, why would they pay you to do it? Second, and this will save you many headaches, NEVER PAY FOR A JOB! No matter what they say it is for, most of these so-called companies make their money from the money you pay them. There is no "job" or business. They are getting rich by telling you it is a 'processing' fee, or a 'we want to make sure you are serious' fee, or 'adminsitrative' fee, etc. Whatever their reason, don't pay it! Think about this scenario...you see a nice job advertised in the paper. It is for data entry for XYZ company. Yopu go on the interview. The recruiter says you have the job but you have to pay $50 to offset their cost of putting you in their database. Would you pay it? I doubt it! In most cases, the hiring company pays the fees to the recruiter. It costs nothing to the recruiter to 'add you to the database' because this is tax-deductible to the recruiter. That is how it is done in a legit company. Only in the scam companies do they have every reason in the book why you need to pay the fee. So, if they ask for money, RUN! No legit company will ever ask you to pay to work for them. Remember, a company pays the employee or contractor, not the employee/contractor paying the company. And the same thing goes for the "lists" of companies hiring homeworkers. These so-called lists can be foung by you with a little research.
