Current television commercials reports to call hotel directly for best rates. When I called last week this Westbury hotel says it can not accept reservations so far in advance - I had to make them on H I website Today I called to cancel reservation made for last eek in July - 2 weeks away.  It was $750. I learned today these reservations made are not cancellable - they are in effect a cash sale and my card has been debited.  They informed me if I were to stay at any Hamton Inn for one night and paid a $50. administrative fee I could get the balance of my payment refunded. My last stay there was also a problem with charges and the same hotel refused to Provide an AAA promotion - the corporation did satisfactorily resolve that matter. I use H I 4 to 5 times a year and have been very satisfied. These recent scams offer evidence the quality they had provided is failing and soon the quality/services/breakfast are going to suffer. Its time to look for different lodgings- I am not going to allow myself be hassled each time I make a reservation.

My wife and I seniors - I must question if H I perpetrates such a blatant fraud on all guests or a special job done on seniors
