Beware! This guy has tried to rent property with numerous problems (like no hot water, inadequate power, broken appliances) along with trying to take all of your security deposit for defects that were present before move in.

I would like to say, anyone can hide behind the Internet to try and ruin someone's reputation.    Why not put your full name ?????    sounds like this person is a loser who doesn't pay their bills and Mr Pritikin took him to court over it and won!!!  End of story. 

Harry Pritikin is the most honest trustworthy man and it is upsetting this would even be allowed to be on here..

Our experience with Harry Pritikin was so opposite of the complainant, it's impossible to believe that there's not something very wrong with S's perception. My husband and I moved to Kona in June of 1997 and had the good fortune of meeting Harry Pritikin. He was our real estate agent and kindly offered us a place to stay until we found a piece of property to build on. He was a wonderful landlord -- he worked tirelessly on his rental properties to assure that everything was always working properly and regularly brought us gifts of fruit from his yard. All of his properties were well maintained and cared for. Harry worked very hard to find us a place to purchase, but we decided after four months to move to Kauai. By the way, why is it that the complainant can use the person's name whom they're attacking but aren't required to sign with their full name? This is hitting below the belt!

I was the real estate agent for these people when they purchased a 2 acre lot here in Kona. They needed a place to stay while they built a house. I had just (within the last two weeks) remodeled the house for sale, NEW carpet, new paint inside and out, professional window cleaning, the works. I took the house off the market and rented it to these people as a favor because they were desperate for a place to stay and store their three container loads of furniture. After they moved out 6 months later the carpets were BLACK and the windows were filthy. I can't even imagine how they got the carpets so dirty. I paid $600 for professional cleaning and took the money out of their $1,500 cleaning deposit. I refunded the other $900 even though they illegally vacated the premises without giving me 30 days notice. I lost $1,500, a months rent. The owner of the next place they rented also had her carpet destroyed. She sued and won a $1,500 judgment in court. I had written a Friend Of The Court letter describing my experience with these people. They blame me for losing the lawsuit and are on a vendetta. This website should substantiate letters written by vicious people like this before posting these kinds of damaging lies. The house has TWO water heaters, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The house is totally energy self sufficient with solar panels and a 12,500 watt diesel generator, enough to run THREE houses. There were NO broken appliances. The appliances are still working and the present renters even want to by the place. Sincerely, Harry M. Pritikin (RA)
