On 1/26/03 my husband and I had a special order done for Birkline matching recliners. One was a swival recliner my was to be a rocker with massage. Since this was a specail order it did not get devilered until 3/3/03 which was no big deal to us knowing it was a custom job.

The delivering was fine with the exception that my recliner was not correct. The delivering people stated they would let their superviosr know in fact I knew he knew as I had them contact him on his Nextel and heard him myself that he would let the sale person know of the situation. Guess what it wasn't done as I called later that day and talked with Dirk Thurston who indicated he will contact Customer service and get the chair reorder. On 3/25/03 I called back as I had not heard anything Dirk Thurston was not there so I talked with Lee Powell the salesrep who sold us the recliners as well as Rick Clemens manager who assured me they will be looking into it. On 3/26/03 Lee Powell left a voice mail stating he will be putting in the order.

Today 4/28/03 I called to inquire about the delivery and had left a message for Dirk not getting a returned call. Call the stores main number three times all being placed on hold for 15 minutes once and 10 minutes twice. Not a good way of doing buisness. The operator Erica answered all three times being rude and left me on hold for either Dirk, Lee, or Rob Schlessky the store manager. (I have left several massages with the operator to have Rob called and she laughed to say I will give him the message) NOT FUNNY FOR AN ANGRY CUSTOMER! After a total of 35 minutes on hold I again call the operator and told her to get a message to Rob and have him call me back by 2 PM or I will call the Better Business Beaura, my lawyer, and do a rip-off report which I am.

I finally contact the Pre-Deivery Office very helpful person Claudia. She and her manager look into my order and found that the recliner never got ordered. Mind you know this been going on since Janurary. She did apoigize for my inconvienc and assured me she will get a message to Rob this was at 11:15am to have him call me by 2 PM.

2PM came and gone no one called.

BBB gave me a name of Marie Schultz and her phone number again only to be told I will have to look into it. I don't know how many people have it look into it but she indicated and promise to call me by 2 PM on 4/29/03. We will see keeping in mind this is a store who don't keep promises. No apoligies from her for the inconvience. At this point I'm so upset that I belive if I don't get a call by 2 PM I will call my lawyer.
