Haynes has did it to me several times.

First of all I ordered a couch and recliner with scotchguard, not only did it take 2-3 weeks longer then promised to get to their warehouse, the recliner wasn't scotchgaurded and had to be returned for another couple weeks.

Then I ordered a bedroom set, big surprise it took several weeks longer then promised to get it in. When I got the pieces home and unboxed them the chest of dresser was the wrong color and didn't match the rest of the furniture. Had to take it back and wait another couple weeks for the right one and had to waste my go all the way down there and pick up the new one.

Then i ordered a bedroom set for my daughter and had to drive all the way to Va. Beach to get it, I sat in the waiting room while they straitened out a "problem with our credit line" (the newport news store said everything was in order before we left) and employees milled around the warehouse with their hands in thier pockets.

After repeated complaints I finally received everything OVER THREE HOURS LATER. Then we ordered some area rugs mattress and box spring and a computer desk set, the employee told us it would take 5-7 days for the rugs to get to the store so 7 days later I called and was told the rugs were shipped to California by mistake and would take another 7 days to get here.

I cancelled the order and was given a run around about the refund, it took 3 days of calls and theats to get them to process the refund. During this time I went to the Va. Beach sore to pick up the computer desk and was agian told there was "a problem with our credit line" they were working it out.

I called the saleswoman at hte Newport News store and she checked and said there was no problem. I informed the warwhouse lady and she said it was taken care of and they were pulling my order now. I again sat there for close to THREE HOURS while employees milled around with hands in there pockets before I received the desk set after more complaints.

One piece of the computer desk was on back order and I was told by the sales lady it would be in the newport news store Friday 18APR03. I called and was told it was in Va. Beach and I could pick it up there or wait 6-7 days for it to be shipped up to newport news (6-7 days? its only about 40 miles apart!!).

After being treated very rudely by the shipping/receiving person and the store assistant manager I told him I wanted to cancel the order and was told that he couldn't authorize that! I told him i wanted either the desk today or the order cancelled. We then also cancelled the bed set, figuring that would be just as screwed up. We learned the hard way NO NOT EVER SHOP AT HAYNES FURNITURE.
