Health Craft Health Craft double charged my credit card and refused to give me a credit. Florida
Health Craft sells high end cookware at fairs and tradeshows. I purchased a set of cookware. It cost $2310 after shipping and taxes.
When I got my credit card bill I discovered two (2) charges for that amount. The first charge was for the Health Craft purchase. That money I clearly owed to Health Craft. The second charge appeared several days later on my bill for $2310 was under the name HY CITE ROYAL PRES MADISON WI.
I contacted my credit card company and disputed the second charge under the name HY CITE ROYAL PRES MADISON WI. I also contacted Health Craft and talked to Steve (in customer service) who told me that the company HY CITE ROYAL PRES MADISON WI was really Royal Prestige. After several conversations with Steve, I still dont clearly understand if Royal Prestige and Health Craft are the same company. Steve gave me several different answers. The best I can understand is that they have some kind of business partnership.
Within two weeks, I received a response from my credit card company stating that HY CITE ROYAL PRES MADISON WI had a rebuttal to my dispute claim. The rebuttal was the signed slip from Health Craft. In a nutshell, I have been charged twice using only one signed sales slip to support both charges from two different companies.
I had to respond to their rebuttal with my credit card company. All the while I attempted to contact Health Craft and work this out. Steve told me that they (Health Craft) had credited my account. A claim that Steve could not provide any documentation to support.
Steve turned me over to Cristina Knight (whom I was told was the founders daughter and current Presidents [David Knight] sister) to help me. I have left several messages for Ms. Knight. I have not heard back from her.
In my opinion here are a few things you might think about it you are thinking about doing business with Health Craft:
Be advised that if you purchase their product you can not return it. You can cancel the order within 3 days of ordering. There is not a phone number or website that allows you to cancel you must send a telegram. Keep in mind this is not 3 days after you receive the product its 3 days after you order. So you dont get to use the product for yourself. In my opinion, its almost a standard in todays marketplace to have a 30 day money back agreement Health Craft does not.
In the sales presentation they imply that you will receive a video that goes along with the cookbook that is included. This is implied by saying they include this great cookbook and you also get the mens cookbook (video) that goes with the cookbook. In my opinion the video hardly covers much of the cookbook.
In the sales presentation they list all these things they guarantee will not happen to their product. One of those things is Pit yet when you get the product the instructional video clearly lists all the things that will cause the cookware to pit (salt, mustard, mayonnaise, tomato, lemon juice and vinegar).
I have found cleaning the cookware very difficult and time consuming.
I have attempted to follow the cookbook in cooking several items and it just burned the food. I have found myself adding oil to prevent burning and make clean up easier. Yet the one major reason I bought the product was to cut the oil in my diet.

Even competitors can post negative comments. So the question, is the information posted on this website alone 100% valid? It is true that Jon's credit card was charged twice. However, it was not credit card fraud but a simple mistake due to new credit card machines just issued at the time, and he did receive a credit as soon a humanly possible. Unfortunately, Jon didn't wait to see the full credit on his next statement and decided to claim credit card fraud. Nevertheless, we do understand his excitement about being charged twice, and we do apologize for the error. Health Craft has been producing top quality Made in the USA cookware since 1939. The company was reorganized in 1983 by its current owners and has remained a three generation, family owned business in Tampa, Florida. Our cookware is manufactured to our specifications by Vita Craft in Shawnee, Kansas. To our knowledge, Health Craft is the ONLY cookware company owned and operated by professional cooks and chefs. Chef Tell of 'PM Magazine fame' was one of the designers of the new Health Craft cookware line developed in 1983. We literally wrote the book on waterless cooking So, the comment on or video and cookbooks is curious, and not 100% accurate. With each product an instruction book is included along with our bestselling cookbook 'Healthy Meat and Potatoes' which includes 50 pages of instruction on waterless, greaseless cooking and 200+ recipes. According to amazon.com ratings, it's the most comprehensive cookbook on waterless cooking in the market, and the DVD included goes into detail on the products use, features, facts, benefits, as well as use and care. Our customer service website has an additional 200+ recipes, even more instruction and 15+ videos. Our PHONE NUMBER IS ON EVERY PAGE of the website and on the cookware as well.
