On their website was a photo of a pure-bred 2 year old dachshund that was supposedly about to be put to sleep within 48 hours in a southern shelter. I decided I would save the dog's life and add another adult dachshund to my family. I already have 2 elderly dachshunds (12 and 15 years old).

The dog I received was a 6 month old lab/pit bull mix. It attacked my elderly dachshunds. It was also freshly neutered so it still had lots of male hormones in its body and humped my leg non stop until I was bruised up.

The paperwork I received with the dog was altered to match the dog I was given. So instead of a shelter in North Carolina, the dog ended up in a shelter in New England. The transport conditions the dog was subjected to for hours were worse than a few minutes in a gas chamber they are saving them from.

I'm out $275 hard earned money.

I adopted a 4 month old dpg from that website, they were professional and dilligent. They trucked her up from NC and we sponsered many dogs following her adoption. I would HIGHLY reccomend this site.i believe something accidental occured, you should have reported it to them,it could have been a mix up. I can't believe you dumped that poor dog.

How heartless are you?  Worried about the money only and dumping a poor animal in a shelter.

Let's put you in the gas chamber and see if the "few" minutes there are better than a chance at living a life with a family who loves you.  See how you feel as your lungs are filled with gas and you suffocate.

Did you even call the rescue to let them try and make the situation right before you dumped the dog in a shelter?  I will be alerting the rescue to this post, if you signed a contract stating that the dog would be returned to the rescue then you have opened yourself up to legal action.
