Complaint Review: Herbalife - Los Angeles California

Here is the deal, I am not being negative, I am pointing out that not all people operate in the way this person describes. I also pointed out that Herbalife did not drain anyone of their money, that is not what they are about. Herbalife is a fantastic company. Quite possibly the upline this person had was not entirely honest. I have also come across a team member in the past that told me I shouldnt tell people what I do up front. I told them it was silly since I was walking around with a button on my lapel that said "I Love Herbalife" and "Lose Weight Now Ask Me How". I also wanted them to know that things do happen that arent good, for one reason or another. My supervisor actually quit and I have been somewhat orphaned. But I am still here and a loyal HERBALIFE distributor and love it! I did not let one bad apple spoil the bunch and know that other distributors and team members do not operate in this way. I was also wanting the person to know that you dont have to buy anything like web-sites and leads and that Herbalife does not sell web sites or leads your team members can help you with that stuff as is their responsibility. You can do it alone if you so choose and Herbalife will assist you as best they can with all the guidelines and regulations, that is what Distributor Relations are for. Also, do not slam the Dr.s out there, do you forget that a Dr. created ShapeWorks, a Dr. created Total Control and a Dr. Created all of the Herbalife products and that all of the medical advisory board is made up of Dr.s? You can not slam all Dr.'s, just as I did not slam all distributors etc. (I said some) as many of them do their job with the best intrest of people in mind and not kick back. As for my Dr. and her desire to have me always ill? I went in for my annual physical and my Dr. is happy that I am healthy and that, my Dr. is happy about the Herbalife products and my Dr. did not perscribe any drugs for me. One bad Dr. that you may have delt with did not spoil the bunch they are not all in it for the kickback. If you find a good team with a good system for success (which it sounds like you have) then fantastic! Way to go and good show! I wish you the best. If you dont, try it on your own for a bit and work the Herbalife sales the way you want to. Either way, Herbalife is a good company, but just like any company there can be "one bad apple".

Some groups require more outlay or cash, others do it the old fashioned way. There are plenty of people making money without doing anything fancy. Just talk to 10 people a day about the opportunity and about the products, it is all a numbers game as with any MLM. You have to remember it is your own business. You have a right to say you don't want to do it "their" way. But then don't complain when you don't get the results you expect if your way isn't as effective or proven. I think you need to do a little more self-development - improve your outlook - improve yourself and Herbalife will work for you! I am not rich...yet! I am following the plan and after 1 more year in the business (2 full years) I will have a 6 figure income and be on the road to financial freedom my family deserves. I am a Herbalife Distributor and don't understand it either. I tell everyone, upfront what I do. The whole secrecy thing just adds fuel to the fire of people thinking Herbalife is a scam. It also makes me sound like a moron if someone asks me what I do and I say "oh sell some vitamin junk" and even more stupid if I say "MLM Stuff". I think a half truth is a lie and lieing makes you sound like a jackass. Too bad not everyone can see the point in that. I also don't understand why people aren't honest about what it REALLY costs to be a distributor with out all their web-sites and junk. It's a shame that some people make you think you have to buy their web site, their leads and their advertising etc. (which dont come from Herbalife but outside privately owned interests, can you say "kick-back"?). I found out on my own that I dont have to follow the "Team" and can do all this how I want and cheaper. On the plus side I know that the policy towards the whole "name secrecy" is changing! They have a new marketing person who is going to make it a must for people to tell people what they are getting into up front. As they say it will be "a household name". We'll see....... I love Herbalife and the products and will continue to be a distributor, but yes, even I question some of the things other distributors and "upline" people do, I guess its beyond me.
