the car was booked my me for my parents for a Thanksgiving trip through Hertz Wednesday through Monday, eventhough I only needed the car for 4 days instead of extra two but was told the price is the same since they don't work thrusday the day of Thanksgiving and Sunday so the car had to be picked up Wednesday and returned Monday. The booking estimate was $176.69 some kind of one week special. I went there tuesday morning to double check at their location to make sure everything was correct since this seemed like a great deal the Asian guy at the counter told me "yes we have you in the system, just make sure you explain to them the $200 deductible."
So i explained to my parents what the cost would be so they agreed that they would rent the car, when they went to pick up the car they were told that they have to take the insurance from them because they couldn't use your insurance so they agreed. So the cost now is $255.30, so still not too bad. They picked up the car late on Wednesday right before they close, and were rushed and nothing was explained to them...well in the process the idiots messed up the booking some how and changed it to two days...so that $255.30 was for two days, i noticed that on the reciept when they brought the car home, we went on our trip that Thursday morning and i was going to call them Friday to explain their screw up, i called and told them that the car was from wed.to mon. and this reciept says only two days. "no problem it will be fixed" the guy on the phone told me.
So i thought sweet, don't have to worry about that anymore. Come home on Sunday right away we turned the car, even though it was due on monday. I kept checking my card to see if the final bill was correct, since i did return it full of fuel and flawless just like i got it. Only thing is I was charged $571 for it without my authoriziation, i was going to call my credit card and cancel the extra fees but i figured id call Hertz where i got hte car from and check with them what the deal is. Called them up, they told me they dont know what happened, after reviewing it...they told me i will be refunded $300...so i was thinking ok so i went and paid the total price on the credit card. Now 2 months later still didn't get the refund. Called 4 different times already, was told its processing, went there this Saturday, and the manager wasnt there!
I will make sure i get my money back, these people are crooks watch out people!
