In oct. of 2002 i purchased a hp pavillion ze5185 laptop computer, with an extended warranty honored by circuit city. the extended warranty price was 370.00

shortly after purchasing the laptop, it begain to blue screen crash, to make a long story short, the computer made 4 trips to california, with multiple repairs, but none fixed the problem, after 12 months the hp warranty expired, and now it is under the circut city extended warranty. hp says that it is a hardware problem, which is under circuit city warranty and circuit city says it is a software problem which is under hp warranty which has expired,

now i have been doing this with return trips and long, long, phone conversations, so now i have 30 days of extended warranty left, and hp and circuit city failed to repair my very expensive computer and instead of getting it fixed, all i have gotten is the Run-A-Round and a laptop that still blue screen crashes and collects dust in the closet.

plus circuit city had the nerve to send a letter wanting to know if i wanted to extend my extended warranty......NO

I had an extended warranty with Circuit City and they refused to honor it. After several weeks and many long phone calls I didn't get them to fix the laptop under warranty but I did get them to refund the money I paid for the warranty plan. I paid $269.99 for the extended warranty when I purchased the computer almost 3 years ago. When I was fighting to get my computer fixed under warranty I told them if they weren't going to fix it then I wanted the warranty money back because I never would have paid money for a warranty if the warranty didn't cover anything. They sent me a check in the mail for the total amount of $269.99 and I was able to use that money to pay to get the computer fixed some where else. It may be easier just to get them money back than to get them to agree to fix it under warranty. Good Luck.

We had the same problem with company. Spent hours on phone, replaced software, sent laptop in 4 times. warranty expired and same problem not fixed. Finally took it back to store where we purchased it and they gave us a new laptop. Don't give up!! Good Luck!!
