HH Gegg - GE Creditcard ripoff Fradulant Building Use Of Creditcard Information Credit Card Fraud Lying Dishonest Stuck with 3,000 in bills that aren't mine Internet
I went in to my local HH Gregg and filled out an HH Gregg credit card which is backed by GE Bank. I was interested in purchasing new appliances for my condo and wanted to see what credit limit I had in case I wanted to go ahead and purchase that day.
I gave the assoicate my information but didn't sign any application as he typed the information into the computer and I never saw a paper copy of the application as he said it was not needed.
I saw that i had received a 3000 dollar limit went back to look around for a bit asked him a few questions and went on my way. he said a hard copy card would be mailed to my address even though I had not purchased anything today.
A couple of weeks later I get my statement and there was a 3000 dollar maxed out charge on my account. I went in and talked with the customer service rep and then the manager and he said it was an issue with GE and he could do nothing about it here. I was very upset and irrate at that point. I stormed out and called GE.
I filled out the dispute paperwork with GE. I waited 3 months and the chage was still there. I called and talk to the rep and they said they sided with HH Gregg on my claim and said I signed the receipt. I was told them the receipt for what I didn't buy anything. They sent me a copy of the reciept for things I didn't even purchase or look at it was TV and some sound equipment.
It was not my signature so I called GE again and they said i had to go and talk to HH gregg and just went in and got the run around from them again. I submitted another dispute and its been another month without communication all while interest is piling up on this 3000 charge i didn't make.
I don't know what to do I've tried every avenue and this is ridiculous. Never buy from HH Gregg with their credit card it is a scam. Someone stole my information and bought 3000 dollars worth of electronics with it and as of right now it's still on my bill 5 months later.
