Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We bought the extended warranty that HH Gregg offered when we purchased our 50 inch hdtv......it was an expensive tv and we felt that if it broke, we wouldn't want to purchase the parts and service to repair it, just replace the entire tv.

Well, 18 months after we purchased the tv, it quit working. After internet research, found it was a common problem that had happened to multiple people. Bad power supply....easy fix and we could order the part and have it in 3 days.

I contacted hh gregg and was told norman's electronics would contact us on monday to come out and repair the tv. I was impressed......until monday. The repair guy called and I told him the problem. No need to come out.....it was a common problem. Panasonic wouldn't let them keep the part in house, he would have to order it and he would get back to me. That was 3 weeks ago!

I have called Norman's Electronics several times. It is impossible to get a human on the phone, I've left 3 messages and they have not returned one call.

I have contacted hh gregg and they are absolutely useless. They said it would take 3-5 days to get back with us and find out what was wrong.

We went to the store where we bought the tv and the manager contacted customer service and told them to make it urgent. 3 days later, we received a message from hh gregg that norman's electronics needs our serial number from the tv and someone from norman's electronics would contact me later that day to get the number! It took 3 weeks to let me know that they now need the serial number? I have not heard from them yet and it's 2 days later!!!

I have now emailed norman's electronics and let them know that I am now using the internet to let the world know how I feel about their terrible service. So, 3 weeks without a tv and I'm not happy with hh gregg either! I will be calling them again today and I will be contacting the store where I bought the tv. I will probably go there and let every customer in the store know how they are absolutely useless after you purchase a product and it breaks!

Are you sure it was GE?  HH Gregg switched plan administrators within the past 2 years.  Either way, the store is not in the service loop.  If GE, since they don't have the contract with HH Gregg any longer, they have no incentive to (quickly) pay and work with the local servicers.  GE is still fully liable though.  This scenario is typical with service plans anyhow.  Next time, avoid the extended warranty and use a credit card that gives you an extra year free.  btw, Panasonic TVs have very low repair incidence rates overall.

Get the District Manager's number - call and threaten to not only contact the President of HH Gregg but send your complaint to your state's BBB and Attorney General - non-performance of contract.  they'll jump.
