We purchased many items from HHGregg, but will never again! The last thing we did was to buy a Bose surround sound system. It had some kinks in it after a few months (cords coming un-done too easily etc.) and finally, it wouldn't come on at all. This was right during the holidays and a sudden death in the family so all I could manage to do was call them. I receive a "No worries, you have a 3 year warranty". So, we waited a few weeks until things in our household could calm down. When we brought the unit in about 3 weeks later, we were told "Sorry, your warranty expired 3 days ago". They not only could care less but they told me I was foolish to even have purchased a Bose system to begin with because they are nothing but junk!!!!!!!!

We contacted everyone up the chain we could and no one in this company all the way up to corporate headquarters could care less about a purchase (with the new TV and all, a $4,000 total purchase). So, we contacted Bose direct. Not only were they sympathetic but said (now 5 days past warranty) that they would honor the warranty, just ship it back. The unit was returned to us (better than new) less than 1 week later. Kudos to Bose but we will never set foot inside another HHGregg store again!

After purchasing a 32" TV back in 2004, I had to go through 5 deliveries before I received a new, undamaged one. Yes, I was able to contact people within HHGregg to get it resolved, but it was very difficult. I guess I was lucky. Read on. Because I got satisfaction last time, I didn't have a problem purchasing another TV from them in Oct/06. Under their 30 day price guarantee, I was to get any difference in price that they (or any other store) offered. Unfortunately, HHGregg doesn't honor their own best prices (had a Store Manager tell me it was illegal to do so!). After three messages to the headquarters in Indianapolis, I never received a single call back from the Cincinnati Regional Manager. Same thing that probably happened to you, Linda. It seems that they have absolutely no customer service after you are out the 14 day return policy. I do get the feeling that they will not be in business much longer. I too have stopped shopping HHGregg. It's just not worth the hassle. Shop the "others."
