Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
After a significant purchase through HHGregg- GE Money claimed that they notified me of pulling the promotional item if a payment was late. I would always for years pay over and above the minimum payment due. I was late twice and no one at the HHGregg office would stand up and argue on my behalf. The store's General Manager Jeff claimed he tried to contact someone higher up in the HHGregg ladder to reinstate the promotional item. His response "GE calls the shots and it's out of their hands"

For a company, that's bad business to keep repeat customers. Its oblivious that, the customer isn't the priority through HHGregg. They allow the finance company to settle matters. This is a terrible business policy. I'm sorry to say that I won't be a customer for HHGregg again until this issue is handled on professional business plain. When you allow a finance company such as GE Money to maintain and promote your store customers, you're setting a bad example.

Terribly sorry about your experience...

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with HHGregg, however, as the manager told you, that kind of transaction is out of HHGregg's hands at that point. The HHGregg bankcard is underwritten by GE Financial, and as a merchant/client of GE Financial, HHGregg must obey policies set forth by the financial institution. Once a purchase is completed with the HHGregg bankcard, HHGregg is for all intents and purposes paid in full by GE Financial and the debt becomes property of GE Financial. If HHGregg was, in fact, in error regarding the promotion or the payment plan, please contact HHGregg and they would be happy to correct the issue. If, however, that promotion had terms set forth by GE, then it is up to GE to revoke that promotion or payment plan and collect the outstanding debt as they see fit. Again, I am sorry about your experience, and I hope that this incident has not deterred you from any future purchases with HHGregg.
