Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

After seeing a few ads from Hilton Furtinure, I deciced I would go see what kind of deal they had on bedroom funiture, I had furnished my children's bedroom and the rest of my home through Conn's in payment and my bedroom was the only unfurnished room so I was excited. Keep in mind that I have upto $4,000 open credit with Conn's at anytime. I arrived at at Hilton Furniture in July 2015 and was approached by a very eager saleman. I ask him about financing and he said they could do it, I knew I would qualify for financing as for my credit and income are good. The salesman explained that if I paid it off within 90 day there would not be any interest charged and it would be same as cash. I knew I would pay it off sooner than the 24 months financing period I was given, however I also knew it would not be in 90 days.

I found a bedroom room set and it was delivered with a fee, I was not a 100% satisfied with the dressers because some of the draws do not close correctly but I figured for the financing it was okay.

I purchased one dresser, two night stands, and a bedframe(only the frame) for $2,400, if I paid it off within 90 days no interest would be charged. I have made 6 payments of $250.33 every month since July, that's a totlal of $1,501.98 in 6 months. I called the financing company today Jan. 09, 2016 to pay off what I owed and close out this account. I was told that if I wanted to pay it off it would be $2,500 today, More than what I purchased the furniture for! I surely thought the young lady on the phone was confused and I went over the purchase receipt with her a couple more times. Turns out Hilton Furniture did not finance the furniture as the salesman told me, turns out if I didnt pay it within 90 days then I would be leasing it from them every month and all the months of payments would just be considered a lease not financed and if I want to buy it then I have to purchase it all over again for $2,500, mind you the original sales price is $2,400. I cannot belived this has happened to me, I feel so stupid I read the "financing contract" and it does not explain any of this it does say "lease purchase" but this is very deceiving. I never asked the salesman for a lease, I asked about getting financing. I have made several attempt to complain and speak to a supervisor/owner at Hilton Furniture and it seems like they are very prepared in dealing for unsatified customer, as they so easily ignore and do not return phone calls. I spoke to the salesman that sold me on the financing and he blamed the financing department and the financing assistant could not answer any questions because  "she's just an assistant" and the financing manager is unavailable. They keep giving me the run-around. I know all the time and effort I am investing will not help my situation, but my hope is that it will help other consumers so that they do not get taken advantage of by these awful sales RipOffs.

After a few minutes of going back and forth with the young lady at the so called finance company that manages my "leased furniture" she said that if I did not want to lease any more I could have them come pick up my "leased furniture" I think this is the route I am going to take before I am robbed of more of my very hard earned money. My concern is that they may put a bad report on my credit, she said that would not happen but I do not beleive her, its like how do you belive a company that rips people off like this?

I should have just stayed with Conn's Home & Appliance I have purchase several times through them, all financed and never ever had a problem.
