Home Team Inspection FORT LAUDERDALE Terrible and unreliable result and ZERO customer service Pompano, Florida
This company was recommended by our realtor at Sothebys (who also was terrible) and I received the worst and sloppiest inspection I have ever experienced. No insects or bugs . . . the house was infested. No plumbing issues, the galvanized sewer drain line from the kitchen was rotted out and water and food was draining into a cockroach infested crawlspace. No termites but the small tree in the front was overrun by Formosa Termites (amongst the worst), and they said the roof needed full replacement but it was a small repair at very little cost.
So let's see; (i) no plumbing issues but the drain line was entirely rotted, (ii) no bugs but we were infested with cockroaches, carpenter ants and Formosa Termites, (iii) no termite damage to the home but we had to rip out all the soffits and support framing. Wrong on the roof, wrong on the plumbing, wrong on the bugs -- even Babe Ruth only got 3 strikes. Worst part was the owner of this franchise wouldn't discuss this by phone, revisit the home or offer a full or partial refund.
Never use this local company in South Florida. If the inspection was done properly I would have been able to buy the house at a much lower price -- these guys were terrible and they cost me a lot of money.
