In reviewing your complaint - I would suggest that you verify with your Mortgage Company that thier Real Estate Tax Records reflect the correct Tax Agency and Parcel for the property encumbered by your Mortgage. In many cases, mortgage companies utilize an outside TAX SERVICE vendor to obtain and report tax information. It is very possible that the TAX SERVICE may be reporting incorrect tax information to your lender, who in turn has contacted you. I would also suggest that you contact your Tax Collector and have POP (Proof of Payment) mailed to you - this POP should be forwarded to your lender along with a WRITTEN request for a response. Per RESPA (Real Estate Protection Act)your lender must respond in writing within 20 business days. Good luck to you.
