Homestead Technologies Inc. ripoff hides behind the BBB Menlo Park California
Hi,
I purchased a webpage from this company and they told me that it would be free. After the first thirty days I would pay I believe five dollars a month. Well, I was checking my account and it was confirmed that they had taken thirty dollars out of my account. I called the company and they told me that there was a one time set up fee for nineteen dollars.
I told them to cancel my account out and to refund my money. According to their fees and disclosures I was supposed to be charged a cancellation fee. They told me that they stopped charging the fee and that they was just not going to refund my money. I asked why. They told me it was because they donot give refunds.
I told them it would be wrong to keep my money if i hadn't used their services and they responded by telling me that, it was my fault that I did not see the fine print about the one time set up fee and that they would not return my money even though I did not use their services.
My advice to anyone out there who is reading this ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT! Here is my advice to business owners, the customer is always right and it is wrong to withhold money that isnt yours, because you can end up with a lawsuit!!!
