Well I think this man needs to get the facts straight before he goes around telling people he got ripped off! First of all Hoopa Modular Building Enterprise has under gone major management changes since the incident was said to have happened. What the man fails to mention is that every company, especially in the housing industry, has contracts. He was an authorized builder for Hoopa Modular and had to have signed a contract in order for a deposit to have been given and in that contract there is stipulations about when and how a person goes about getting a deposit refunded. Oh and just because Xontah Builders is owned by the Hoopa Valley Tribe does not mean it can not be sued. He misinterpreted the information he read on the legal website he is quoting. Xontah Builders is an enterprise like any other company in the United States and is governed under the same rules and regulations. He could have learned that by taking a Tribal Law class or maybe getting a lawyer and asking them to investigate. And hey maybe he did get a lawyer and found out he had no legal leg to stand on and that's why he posted a slanderous comment about Xontah Builders on this Rip-Off Report website. And by the way Ripoff Report does not guarantee that all reports are authenic or accurate (ripoffreport.com/). I just copied and pasted those very words off the first page of their website. So I guess the moral of this story is to do your homework before you complain to the teacher about getting a bad grade! Signed, A Hoopa Tribal Member Hoopa, CA
