Horizon Travel - Travel Club International Ripoff Scam Artists Promise Big Discounts Knoxville Tennessee
Like several others who have filed complaints about this business, we attended a 90 minute presentation at the Knoxville office of Horizon Travel where they made great promises of deeply discounted travel packages. Membership prices started at $7995 but we ended up leaving with a $795 package for a one-year trial membership of their service. I have tried to use them on several occasions. They either never responded or the rates they have provided are no better than any rate I can find on line or by using a travel agent. Buyer beware.
I wish I had time to sit outside their office and warn others as they are going in. What a ripoff!
A local television station (WATE.com) did a consumer alert story about them. One lucky lady actually got a refund. Go to WATE.com website and search for Horizon Travel. According to this report, "A Better Business Bureau letter shows Horizon Travel has more than 100 complaints and an unsatisfactory record with the bureau."
