On 9/27/15 I used Hot Wire online service to reserve an auto. The final report came up MSP and not MSN. I did chat link with Hot Wire and got nowhere. Tried it again with supervisor - got no where. Did phone call next to Hot Wire and got no where, then did e-mail asking them to change the error, or let me online to change the error. They refused both. I live 250 miles from where they gave me a reservation, and after several tries to change the error I sent them a cancellation notice, which they have not acknowledged.
I then asked my credit card company to intervene - they said they couldn't change anythihng. Since, I'd successfully used they technique before, I went back to credit card company for another try to cancel this error. They again, told me nothing could be done. I've since lodged a complaint with their president.
I've since written to Hot Wire, car rental company, and credit card company; asking why this continues to go on? A review of ConsumerAffairs.com has 30 complaints over about 75 day period in late 2015. I'v also filed a report with BBB in California asking for a refund of this $217 charge, when no service could be provided nor was provided. And simply because Hot Wire refused to offer any customer service in this matter.
My goal is a refund, and until we have that I'll continue to file a report about this incident.
