Well these folk have made a refund that does not cover the costs involved X me to get to this point. They should have undertaken some form of process in the first place. More frightening is that they have appeared to have accessed my CREDIT CARD to make this refund-no communication took place to indicate that this was to happen. They appeared to have breached Credit Card protocols by holding on to my details. I will now check this situation out with my Credit Card Company. These guys are "off the map" and dangerously so in terms of consumer protection-WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE? They still OWE ME for time and effort spent. Message COMPENSATE.

This band of disreptuable bottom feeders still will not settle and pay me back for my time and expense. I can only assume that the distance from Australia to New York provides them with a sense of security-they surely are a company to avoid at all costs. Elliot must be "lower than a snake's belly". Perhaps they believe that "quid pro quo" has been justified for my complaining. I await and will write the next chapter shortly. I trust Hotbuys Electronics business suffers-heh, heh, heh.

I now receive sweet little EMAILS complimenting me on my beautiful use of language-I can only assume that I have offended the sender of the EMAIL some way. I no not how. The bottom line is these scoundrels still owe me a refund + costs and they REFUSE to PAY UP. I have been busy making contacts in the US. THe costs just rise. Progress is being made on my part. All is in place to start the ASSAULT X me. Still no news and very bad for Hotbuys Electronics. I have done a GOOGLE search to find out ALL the TV, Radio & "print" media sources in New York and I plan to send an item until this matter is settled in a manner suitable to me. I have now made several phone calls and these will be added to the OVERALL COST of this process. COSTS stand at: Cost of item-US$278.98 Freight/shipping-US$80.00 Phone calls/International from Australia US$50.00 Time expended-US$25.00 per hour for 5 hours TOTAL US$125.00 TOTAL-US658.98 This will continue until I hear that "Hotbuys Electronics" settle IN FULL. I sincerely apologise to Hotbuy's employees for the disruption that this process is causing and also for the potential loss of job as the business shrinks. Steps to be take. -Computer based VOICE recording of my voice will be made of my "Rip Off" complaint. -A digital camera photo will be made -All "Rip Off" statements will be prepared for electronic transfer The above will "bundled" for electronic transfer to a radio and TV station, along with a newspaper in New York each day. I will also send a letter to the "Hotbuys" people (employees)I know the names of to explain my actions. I also intend to write to each business I know in TAAFFE PLACE to advise them of their "Shifty and Shonky" business neighbour. All the above WILL be COSTED to "Hotbuy's Electronics" HOTBUYS-PAY UP.

I had the misfortune of finding this "Hotbuys Electronics" company after searching the internet to purchase some Bushnell products. I found on these items: -Bushnell H2O 10X25 Compact (Black) Binoculars-US$39.98 -Bushnell H2O 12X25 Compact (Black) Binoculars-US$44.98 -Bushnell Spacemaster 15-45X60 Camo Armored Spotting Scope Kit- US$278.98 -? Bushnell Lens cleaning Kit-US$9.98 TOTAL-US$373.93 + Shipping. I arranged to pay via a credit card I received an EMAIL to confirm my details. This was done via FAX & PHONE. The order was placed on the 02/18/2005 and after confirmation, etc my Credit card was "HIT" for US$498.92 on the 03/11/2005. This was to cover shipping and I now believe US$35.00 for cases, etc. All the above items come with cases and in the Spotting Scope came with a carry bag. THIS WAS THE START OF A "NIGHTMARE" THAT IS STILL RUNNING. Initially I was led to believe that the goods were available. NOT SO. Weeks passed by then months. Out of the blue after many EMAILS and countless phone calls I heard that were to be shipped. ALAS not all items. This was early May 2005. I checked the weight-2.7 LBS. An EMAIL was sent to HOTBUYS. No response. PAR for the course with these folk. I received and opened the parcel around 05/18/2005. To my dismay, I found, the binoculars as ordered with CASES already included and a "cheap N nasty" "lens cleaning kit"-cost US$2.00 MAX. TOTAL cost US$199.94 (Binoculars-US$49.98 & US$54.98, Lens Cleaning Kit-US$9.98, SHIPPING US$85.00). Since this time regular phone and EMAIL has gotten me little satisfaction-"goods are on backorder" Then around early July a refund was mooted at US $298.98. I submitted a quote of US$355.98 to cover a refund WITH shipping. I called again on the 26 & 27th 0f July and was told that the refund would be US$300.00. Still no refund despite numerous EMAILS and phone calls. I have found various sites to lodge a complaint about this INTERNET SELLER and it's business practices. I believe that their practices are quite FRUADULENT. I plan to lodge further complaints via the New York Attorney General, the New York Consumer Protection Agency and other bodies. I will also continue to send EMAILS to accrue evidence of my intention and log ALL INTERNATIONAL phone calls to "Hotbuys Electronics" to lay claim for ALL COSTS in relation to this matter. I believe that they are now liable to CRIMINAL FRAUD and this will likely lead to civil processes. I will keep YOU the PUBLIC aware of future processes and will where appropriate cease further action once this matter is resolved. I submitted a quote of US$355.98 to cover a refund WITH shipping. I called again on the 26 & 27th 0f July and was told that the refund would be US$300.00. Still no refund despite numerous EMAILS and phone calls. I have found various sites to lodge a complaint about this INTERNET SELLER and it's business practices. I believe that their practices are quite FRUADULENT. I plan to lodge further complaints via the New York Attorney General, the New York Consumer Protection Agency and other bodies. I will also continue to send EMAILS to accrue evidence of my intention and log ALL INTERNATIONAL phone calls to "Hotbuys Electronics" to lay claim for ALL COSTS in relation to this matter. I believe that they are now liable to CRIMINAL FRAUD and this will likely lead to civil processes. I will keep YOU the PUBLIC aware of future processes and will where appropriate cease further action once this matter is resolved. "BUYER BEWARE" when dealing with "Hotbuys Electronics" and their employees-Elliot, Hart and Jeff. "Hotbuys Electronics" is NOT TO BE TRUSTED. Several more phone calls at 12:30 to 01:00 AM (30th Australian AEST time) to no avail-"Bob was out for coffee". 31 July 7:00 PM (AEST)-Sakar International "Digital Concepts 3 Piece Lens Cleaner" is reasoonably priced at US$9.98. Still over priced for what it contains. I have also decided to take further action-much further in fact and ALL COSTS will be down the "Hotbuys Electronics" manager-I think hisc name is Elliot. I had the misfortune of finding this "Hotbuys Electronics" company after searching the internet to purchase some Bushnell products. I found on these items: -Bushnell H2O 10X25 Compact (Black) Binoculars-US$39.98 -Bushnell H2O 12X25 Compact (Black) Binoculars-US$44.98 -Bushnell Spacemaster 15-45X60 Camo Armored Spotting Scope Kit- US$278.98 -?Bushnell Lens cleaning Kit-US$9.98 TOTAL-US$373.93 + Shipping. I arranged to pay via a credit card I received an EMAIL to confirm my details. This was done via FAX & PHONE. The order was placed on the 02/18/2005 and after confirmation, etc my Credit card was "HIT" for US$498.92 on the 03/11/2005. This was to cover shipping and I now believe US$35.00 for cases, etc. All the above items come with cases and in the Spotting Scope came with a carry bag. THIS WAS THE START OF A "NIGHTMARE" THAT IS STILL RUNNING. Initially I was led to believe that the goods were available. NOT SO. Weeks passed by then months. Out of the blue after many EMAILS and countless phone calls I heard that were to be shipped. ALAS not all items. This was early May 2005. I checked the weight-2.7 LBS. An EMAIL was sent to HOTBUYS. No response. PAR for the course with these folk. I received and opened the parcel around 05/18/2005. To my dismay, I found, the binoculars as ordered with CASES already included and a "cheap N nasty" "lens cleaning kit"-cost US$2.00 MAX. TOTAL cost US$199.94 (Binoculars-US$49.98 & US$54.98, Lens Cleaning Kit-US$9.98, SHIPPING US$85.00). Since this time regular phone and EMAIL has gotten me little satisfaction-"goods are on backorder" Then around early July a refund was mooted at US $298.98.
