 My daughter was so excited to get an extremely attractive package to Disney World in Orlando for her and her 5 year old son. Many pets, discounted admission to the park, and free tickets to a major water park. She made all the arrangements well in advance, as well as paying upfront on her MC. She is going through a divorce, so there were a few hiccups. One was they her soon to be ex removed her from all charge cards. The only card she had was the MC that she used to reserve her reservations. When she arrived in Orlando, she called Hotelscorp, and told them the her MC was a debit card. Same card that payment was secured on. They told her that this card was not acceptable, and that the only thing they could do was to offer tickets at retail, and lose the extra perks. She paid the additional money. $480 total cost. When she went to pick up get tickets, she was told that she could have used the MC in question, but since the time had lapsed that there was nothing she could do. Single mom, excited young boy, and I'll informed customer service equals a sad situation. Westgate Villas did offer her a free stay in the future and $100 dollars cash, but it still put a huge damper on her plans.
