I have never been so disgusted in my life....this place was nasty with a capitol n. I tried to call Hotwire to tell them and they said it would cost 875.00 to change hotels the first time I called. I had to call my boss because I was on a business trip. When I tried to call back to tell them its was 175.00 more than if I had booked it myself they put me on hold four times each time I was on the phone for 25-35 minutes and then hung up on. I was taking with someone that did not live in this country that could not understand me.......they ripped me off! This place was so nasty there was blood on the toilet seat from god only knows what, the drapes and floor were sticky, the bed had huge stains on the exsposed mattress and then I saw the nail clippings........

Notwire should have handled it

Notwire puts someone in a lodging that has material issues, then Notwire ought to deal with the grief and get the customer situated in a new, adequate replacement. Regardless of how cheap you think these booking services are, one of main reasons people use them is for convenience and time savings, as much, if not more so, than for better rates.

In truth, I've never found the rates to be better on these sites, so I don't think y'all ought to rush to brand the customer a cheapskate. The expectation is that the booking service has your back if an issue arises with the place they booked you at.I can take it on faith from this that Hotwire probably couldn't care less when there's a problem.

Hotwire recommended this place and its on their list of approved hotels. Once we figured out how crappy it was they leave us on hold and hang up after 30 minutes and that makes them the focus.

It turns out they had a Meth Lab in the hotel a week before I went on my trip. Here is the article: June 21 News Article Officials said authorities found components of a meth lab at the Country Hearth Inn. Police said they were investigating Chad Bolin for a previous meth charge at the same hotel.Bolin was arrested on a probation revocation warrant. June 20, warrants were issued in the meth charges. He was charged with two counts of unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance second degree, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

I would have been OK with a one star hotel but this is worse than that and they dont care.

As an individual who has had experience in the hospitality industry, I think it is unfair to brand Hotwire.com as the bad guys heres.

Why not name the hotel in which standards are failing? Hotwire.com is nothing more than a Middleman. You contact them, they then contact hotels, they get back to you about the best rates.

If you don't want a horrible hotel room, try not going so cheap.
