Household Credit Services aka The GM Card New Scam on the horizon or old scam being used again ripoff Salinas California
At the end of the billing cycle for May (May 18, 2002),The GM Card assessed my credit report and automatically lowered my line of credit to a limit that would be exceeded on my very next purchase. A letter of the credit line dropping was recieved by myself 10 days after the billing cycle.
The GM Card Company knew my charging history and that I would exceed my limit very soon. I usually do not carry a balance on this card but revenue for my business has been low. I talked Natosha (cust care supervisor) into removing the $29 dollar fee (which it was never removed). I'm curious to see if this is a common business practice for this company and how they can get away with this.
I'm just one fish in the sea and $29 won't break me nor will it make The GM Card Co. rich but if this is done to enough customers a year then this produces a very high revenue for them. This kind of stuff needs to be stopped.
