Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had my orignal loan with countrywide with an intrest rate of 7.35% and we wanted to consolidate some bills so we went to household and they ended up talking us into a loan that is 11% on the first and a revolving credit line of 21%. as I read further we also had orignation fees of $11,000 with a payment of $1285.69 + $212.00 for the credit line they knew they had set us up to fail they also encouraged us to put false information in the loan app. my wife has an inuity she recieves periodicly they took the total of her anuity payments without us knowing and divided it and added it to make it look like we had a higher monthly income so they could get us funded.

now almost one year later my wife has had to sell some of her anuity payments at a very discounted price just to be able to save our house from forclosure so house hold has cost us over $250,000 in losses with this loan CAN SOMETHING BE DONE TO GET OUR MONEY BACK???

Jason, you may possibly contact the litigators involved to get your information added to the settlement. It does not sound as if the people that truly suffered at the hands of Household/Beneficial will be totally reimbursed for their losses, but it is a start. I personally feel Household/Beneficial did not agree to settle as quickly as they did without the terms being extremely favorable to them. It appears that Household is now involved in several class actions brought by shareholders for restating earnings. It now appears they are attempting amortize this agreement (484 MILLION) by restating earnings of the previous 3 to 5 years. I spent a lot of time looking for the original case and the date filed. While many see it as a major victory, I see only the tip of the iceberg. The following link is for the original case filed in the state of California: http://www.corp.ca.gov/pdf/hfcbcomp.pdf
