Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This company scams real estate agents by misleading them into believing that they will provide them with legitimate leads of consumers who are looking for an agent or who want to know the value of their homes. They get you to sign a 1 year contract for $399 a month and guarantee 10 pre-qualified leads a month.

They provide a name/address/e-mail address

Out of all of the leads I was given, none of the information was accurate or legitimate. E-mails bounced back as no such address, county records did not have records of these addresses, and the names of the leads were definately not real names.

I have search the internet and have found thousands of Realtors across the US who have also been scammed by this company, and are now paying the price of fighting with collection agencies. In the contract that you accepted on line (which was 4 pages crammed into a 2 inch square field) it states that if you cancel you are still liable to pay 50% of the remaining term of your contract.

At $399 a month this is almost $5000 a year, or a $2500 fee for cancelling. THis is a rediculous amount. I can understand a couple hundred dollars, maybe, but this is robbery and something needs to be done about this company's business practices.

I would like for anyone else who is interested to get a class action law suit going against this company before they take advantage of anyone else out there.

I am actively searching for an attorney at this time to get this going. If anyone else has any helpful information, please share it.

Also anyone else who has been ripped of by housevalues.com, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE also file a complaint. You can start with BBB, Attorney General for your state as well as Washington state Attorney General, Local DRE, NAR and any other governing agencies that you know of.

We may not be able to put this company out of business, but we can definately make a difference. Keep an eye on their stocks too. When this hits the media, their stocks will surely fall.

I have made several posts regarding this company. I have a friend who worked there in the past, this person quit due to the fact that they encouraged their sales staff to lie to make the sale. You are 100% correct that they do not have good leads, in fact I bet they have to make a lot of them up out of thin air to make their guarantee. I have asked this person if they would go public with their experience at this company, unfortunately this person would not. This person still knows people there and does not want to put friendships at risk. However, this person said they were glad people may be organizing for a class action against this company, this persons comment, " It's about time ".

Report this ripoff to every agency the BBB, FTC, Attorney General of WA and CA including KRON4 in San Francisco. Contact the credit bureau with a complaint if they have damaged your credit in any way. Housevalues must sell exactly what was sold to you by their telemarketer. The law is very clear on this. If they contacted you for the sale you are entitled to cancel with a full refund if the service they sold is not what you receive. I don't think Housevalues is authorized to use collections in a way to affect your credit. Read your contract carefully. I am no attorney, but if the contract you signed does not have a statement that allows housevalues to use collections on you then I am sure they must bring legal action against you for the remainder of the contract. They can use collections to try, but the collections must stop if you tell them to. Here is what part of the FTC's law is on collections: If you or your company is being pursued for unpaid bills, you may stop a collector from contacting you simply by asking them to stop or by writing a letter to the collection agency telling them to stop. Collectors are forbidden from contacting you again except to say there will be no further contact or that the creditor intends to take some specific action against you (such as filing a lawsuit). First of all save all of your correspondence, contracts, email and tape your conversations with them. I will testify for anyone that wishes to take legal action against them. I have documented and taped conversations as proof that I was lied to from the telemarketer to the contract supervisor. Remember it is very easy to sue for your initial payment in small claims court. But if anyone can get a class action started please let me know. I'll offer all I can against these fraudsters. They are an absolute scam and I would say frauds. I smelled a rat right from the start and I knew that if 1 thing was even slightly off from what their telemarketer sold me that by law in California I had 30 days to cancel and I would. I found out in only a few short hours I was taken. I got almost all my money back. My credit card company and I will get the rest. And all of you are entitled to the same.
