Direcway mounted our satellite over our living room while we were sleeping and the kids were in the house. We later learned that it is not normal to have a huge satellite mounted over a living area.

We had continued service issues with their network being down and no signal. They were al=ways really rude about giving any credit about what was clearly their own network issue.

A few months later, we called for assistance reinstalling their program on our computer, and they tried and tried but could not figure out how to do it. They blamed my computer and they suggested that we have our satellited re-cabled to another computer on the other end of our house. They stated that they would reimburse us for any charges that the third-party they selected and required may charge us. The cable was replaced at a cost of $120.00.

Repeated attempts to recover the money have been made. Direcway would not retrun repeated calls and failed to allow us to speak to a supervisor, much less one that actually speaks comprehensible English!

Direcway conducted lengthy "investigations" into the issue. We faxed them three copies of our invoice and our check. They finally stated that we had received something called a "Kit A' and that for this reason, they would not refund our money.

We are still not sure what a "Kit A" is, but our receipt for services very clearly states that the charge if for "200 feet of RG-6 cable" and shows the dollar amount.

We are sick of the run-around and today I found information on Small Claims for the state of Maryland, where their corporate office is located. I am sending them 10 days notice tomorrow via return receipt requested, and if they do not respond, I am going to file suit against them.

Enough is enough. Their competitor willl start service here in the next few months, and choosing a new provider will cause me no distress!!!

P.S., I will just let them ruin my credit with all of the early termination fees, I honestly think that that is better than the strife of trying to get these crooks to have a little INTEGRITY!

I got my DESIRED RESOLUTION from DIRECWAY

AT LAST, (after my jets were sificiently cooled) I received a call four months later, out of the blue, from Direcway's LEGAL Department, to whom I had previously sent a certified demand for payment. A surpising competant and pleasant lady said it was such a shame that this situation was allowed to occur. She said her boss stated, "Call these poor people." We signed a settlement sgreement with Direcway and an agreement not to prosecute them, for this Direcway gave us a check for the $120.00 they owed us and totally cleared our entire past due balance which included a remained of our equipment fees(at my hubbie's insistence.) While not ethical to not pay a bill you truly owe, we have been going through some financial problems due to loss of work and a layoff, so this gesture was much appreciated. Mind you, the credit and the successful, albeit extremly slow, resolution of this problem did not make the entire experience "worth it" in the least! I am happy that this was at last resolved.
