This person is being charged $300 for canceling a service that they haven't received...it should be illegal!
I was with them for 10 months after signing a 2 year contract with a $700 early cancellation fee, but after VERY bad service (when there was any) the entire time, I canceled on the grounds of breaching the contract on their side. I had asked, begged, and yelled at them to fix the problems I was having, which I think were perfectly solvable. There is no excuse for a company to treat it's customers the way they treat their customers.
I had the bank get back some of the money we had wasted on them. Now they have submitted me to a collector's agency. For how much I'm not sure. My Mother talked to them and she didn't ask. She just told them they would never see it.
Hughes Net would not have given back that money if they were in a position to argue about it, but I sent my bank printed evidence of logs and screen pics and theirs agreed to do it.
Now they have the nerve to do this!
I don't think so...
$300 for service that was not delivered? If you hired someone to paint your house and they didn't do it would you pay them anyway?
I wouldn't. You shouldn't either!
