Hughesnet advertises speeds that they do not provide...ever. I signed up 5 months ago, and i's been the longest five months of my life. I have speeds BELOW 1mbs most of the time. I cannot stream tv or movies, I can't even record them because the connection is so slow that my recording service ( purchased to attempt to make hugesnet work for me...along with a new computer and a new TV) can't record anything, and on the rare occasions when they do, it takes 2 hours of bounus time to record a 30 m inute sitcom, and it's so pixulated you can't even make out faces, much less anything ewlse. I might as well have recored the soundtract fo all I get out of those recordings! PlayON literally shuts off because speeds are too slow, and this is during offpeak hours ( 2am-8am)

I have spent untold hours on the phone with these people, they don't speak english, they will not transfer you to anyone highr up or who does speak english, they cannot fix the problems, you can't contract account management because you need a PIN NUMBER to get anyone, and the pin number they provided this last time ( after 4 months of trying to talk to someone who could cancel my esrviceO was incorrect. This was after they told me that someone would contact me within 48 hours...2 weeks later they called at 8PM and left a message, with a pin number so that I could actually speak to a human in technical serices, and that PIN was expired by the following AM at 8:00 when I got the message and tried to call.

Now they have decided to schedule a "set service appointment", so that thery advanced technical support team can try to 'fix the problem'...problems that have been constant for more than 4 months, and they expect me to wait by my phone so that a tech person can contact me between the hours of 9 and 11. ( remember that the last time they said someone would contact me, they didn't for two weeks and then weren't actually available when I tried to return the call.)  I have already replaced thier crappy service with Centurylink, and have great internet speeds and a phone that actually works ( the "phone service" I have with Hughesnet randomly doesn't work, drops calls ( and this is a LANDLINE. since when do landlines drop calls???) having this service has crippled my small business and made even watching televison a trial in frustration. And now they have told me that if I want to cancel early, I would be obligated for $190 early disconnect fee! For a service that demonstratably does not work, and they they have been unable to make work for more than 4 months. This company needs to be sued for fraud and false advertising. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GET HUGESNET SERVICE! Anything, including, smoke signals, is faster and more reliable, and all you will get is a huge bill ( my service cost $189.00 PER MONTH!!! and didn't include cell service, and it never worked past the first week, when I could still cancel for free,) and my date disappeared at am alarming rate even when I wasen't using anything but my computer...no streaming, no TV,  nothing but a desktop computer, and I went though 30GB a month usually within 2 weeks. I upgraded to 50gb service and it was gone within 3 weeks again, not streaming anything, other than during "free bonus data times"

This is uiterally the biggest scam company on the planet and somebody needs to stop what they are doing, which is outright fraud, and sue them for enough money to bankrupt them. Class action anyone???
