Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have been working with them since November 2013.  I had a serious medical issue occur in April 2015 and fell behind in my payments but have been working to become current.  Bottom line is that despite my efforts in trying to get my payments current, and being told that no repossession would occur, my vehicle was repossessed on Sunday, November 22nd.  After being on the phone for 10 hours on Monday, November 23rd and half the day Tuesday, November 24th, we finally were able to get the car back.  What we haven't been able to get is any sort of documentation from Hyundai, American Recovery who Hyundai contracted for the repossession and the tow company that actually picked up the vehicle New England Associates.  I called Hyundai after we got the vehicle and was told that they don't provide any documenatation that it's for internal use only. They told me my confirmation numbers for the payments on my debit card were my documentation.  I am quite disappointed in the way this whole issue was handled from when it first started in September to now.  It seems that the more proactive you are with Hyundai, the less it matters.  Beware of the false promises and the lack of knowledge that Hyundai Motor Finance has, and the unethical practices it uses.

from Hyundai stating that they are looking into this matter and will be in touch with me. They are also going to get me my paperwork from the recovery company and tow company. Also it seems as though the tow company is being investigated for the way they do business. I guess I just have to wait and see where it goes from here.

I can appreciate your opinion Robert

But you do not know my situation and you don't know me. I did make payments per agreements that I had arranged with them. The money I used to pay to get my vehicle back was given to me by my employer. I have worked very hard to get back to the way I once was, before I was hit by a car in front of my young son. I have gone through numerous surgeries to repair the damage. Throughout all this I have been able to keep my job and put food on the table for my child and I and paid my bills, sometimes late but I have not once asked anyone for help! I am not a deadbeat like you might think!

I will tell you that the person in the reinstatement office at Hyundai that helped me to get my car back agreed that mistakes had been made by his company and truly tried to do everything he could to help me resolve the issue, I do believe I would not have gotten my vehicle back so quickly without his help. I never said I was not at fault, I was only saying that I had received misinformation and different stories each time I called in. There are many reports of good people going through similar situations, unfortunate as it may be. In closing as I stated in the title of this rebuttal I can appreciate your opinion, but, I don't have to agree with it.

It is always amazing when a person who is delinquent actually gets upset at the lender.  When all the lender did was follow through on the legal agreement, that the borrower agreed to, but then complain that the lender is wrong and "unfair".

The fact is when you got the car you signed a legal agreeement that says you agree to make a set payment at set times until the loan is paid off.   You also agreed that if you fail to make those payments the lender is legally allowed to reposess the car.  They did JUST that.

Now, before you go off on the 1001 reasons why they should have "made an exception" because you are a "special situation".  Realize that everyone has problems at one time or another, and there is NOTHING in the loan agreement you signed that said they have to do anything to help you.  If they did that everytime someone had an "issue" no one would ever pay their bills, and YOU are a perfect example...so let me explain.

You complain that they told you that they weren't going to reposess your car, so of course you did not pay because you didnt think there was a "threat" to take the car.  By you making a statement like that, you are saying that had they told you that they were going to reposess it you would have made the payment.  This is very important because it shows that you actually had the money(as shown by your payment AFTER the fact), and this is just a case of you choosing to NOT pay what you legally owe.  A responsible adult should not have to be threatened to pay their bills.

Yes, of course you are now going to say things like "well that was money that was going to go to xyz...", or "you don't know my situation...." or even the very popular "you must work for them".    Well in answer to those...YOU had the choice even after they reposessed it to make they payment or not, owing a car is not a right.  Of course I don't know your situation, but guess what..it does NOT matter.  Oh and no sorry but I do not now or have I ever worked for them, and would have(and have) said the exact same thing regardless of the bank you listed.
