I-Deal Direct Interactive is a company that has a whole chain of websites that promises various free gifts if you complete a certain amount of offers from their various websites. For example their site, FreeLapTop4You.com promises a free Dell laptop or a $700 check for completing about 8 offers from advertisers such as AOL, eFax, and Blockbuster Online. I-Deal will verify with the advertiser that you completed their offer. When you are verified, they will approve you.

When you are approved for the required number of offers, they will send you a certificate that you need to print out and mail in to receive your free gify. They will let you know when they received and "processed" your certificate. It will take 6-8 weeks to receive your free gift from the day they processed your certificate.

I signed up for a handful of I-Deal's websites during December 04 and January 05. I completed the following: FreeLapTop4You.com ($700 check), FreeComputer4You ($500 check), NeatStuffFree.com (40 GB Ipod + Bose Sounddock package), and I-DealRewards.com ($800 check).

I-Deal Direct approved me for each of those sites. I sent out my certificate for each site seperately. I-Deal received and processed my certificate for FreeLapTop4You.com on January 3, 05. The rest of my certificates did not get processed.

On or around, January 13, 2005 I noticed that my status on my status page had completely disappeared for the NeatStuffFree Ipod offer, FreeComputer4U.com, and for I-DealRewards.com. I sent them an email to ask them what happened to my status, but they would not reply to me.

They finally responded to me on 1-25-05 after sending them a few emails. They informed me that my status would re-appear when they received my certificates for the sites I mentioned. I decided to re-send my iPod certificate on 1-27-05 via Priority Mail with delivery confirmation.

They received my Ipod certificate on 1-29-05. Instead of processing my certificate, they disqualified me from receiving my NeatStuffFree.com Ipod package. They also disqualified me for FreeLapTop4You, FreeComputer4U, and I-DealRewards offers.

They did not give me a reason why they disqualified me so I sent them an email asking them why did they disqualify me. I did not break any rules and I mentioned that in my email. Again, it took a several emails to get them to respond.

When they responded, they would not give me a reason as to why they disqualified me. They said "they have no further updates for me." It seems like I-Deal Direct Interactive is doing whatever they can to get out of giving people the gifts they owe them.

My mother also signed up for I-Deal Direct Interactive's NeatStuffFree MAC cosmetics offer. She completed 700 of the 1000 points required when they decided to close down the website completely. She has no way of completeing the final 300 points and they won't respond to emails.

I-Deal has various business names and addresses so avoid them all! These are their other names and addresses:

I believe they updated their T&C to include that you can only sign up for ONE of their company affiliated deals, and that you can only sign up for a specific sponsor (over a specified period of time) If you sign up for more than one, I believe they will invalidate your submission. I don't know the legal ramifications involved in their updating of the T&C. They have every right to update it...BUT I'm not sure how that effects people who completed the deal under the previous terms, and which set of terms would apply. Best of luck.
