Charges began to show up on my Credit Card in February of 2006, in the amount of $29.95. When I called the 800 number provided on my Statement, IWS claimed I signed up on-line for a grant service. I did no such thing, and never received any goods and services which would have alerted me as to the problem. Although I supposedly cancelled the service, the charges continued to appear for a total of 16 month - time flies - until I contacted my credit card company. By then, IWS or I-Works had syphoned off $479.20 from my VISA Credit Card. My Credit Card company reimbursed me for four-months worth, and I'm cutting my losses. There are two names for this fraudulent operation that I know of:

IWS Grant Professor

and

I-Works

First of all let me offer my apologies to Irene. When Irene ordered the Grant Professor program it was explained that there is a bonus free trial period to the membership website that accompanies this program. It is disclosed on the sales page and the order page, then, on the confirmation page in large bold font/letters stating not to forget about the 14 day free trial and also in the confirmation email in large bold font/letters - the confirmation email also provides the user name, password and membership website links, it is nearly impossible to miss this information, unless you flat out ignore it or choose not to read it. You can also see that it is disclosed in the Terms and Conditions of the offer. The trial period is free for 14 days and we would not have charged Irene had she canceled during the trial period. It is not our desire to bill clients who do not want the membership after the free trial offer. Irene states we never provided her services or goods, we did, we provided her with access to our live online support representatives and all of our online resources, which take a large amount of our resources to maintain so that you, as the customer, have access to the most up to date grant information that is available. She states she did not use them - just because she did not use the services doesn't mean they weren't made available to her. The customer service agent that assisted Irene extended the refunds to her that she mentions in her complaint, they were not processed by her credit card company. Those refunds (of typically non-refundable charges) were processed on her behalf as a courtesy to her and she should see those back in the account that was charged within the next 3-5 business days. If you'd like to cancel using the customer service line it is 866-407-1021 and they are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you are another customer that is reading this and you feel that we have failed you in some way please call me directly at 435-773-1795 or email me at [email protected] and I would be happy to address your concerns ASAP. Sincerely, Ryan R.
