On 6/13, after seeing the TV advertisement several times, I called and ordered the Singer Lazer Storm - the buy one get one free order with a free Lazer Steamer. I had this put on my credit card and asked for just one payment.

On 6/21, I received my credite card statement. It had a charge from IGIA of $382.88. The promisted total price (all the shipping charges reviewed when ordered)was $177.75. I called and spoke to "Elaine" who said that my order was entered for 4 vacuums. She would fix the order to one (plus get one free) and credit my credit card. The phone number that I called was 1-800-8357.

I sent e-mails to verify that this had been corrected to [email protected] and never received any response. Sent e-mails on 8/1, 8/3, 8/7, & 8/15.

On 8/15 received another credit card statement and no credit from Igia was on it. Called 1-800-711-8357 and spoke to "Art". I explained the problem. He said that the credit is to be entered on 8/22 and the order is to be shipped on 8/26. I told him that 8/22 has not happened yet and why wasn't the credit done when I first called and that I have been charged interest on this charge.

On 8/29, I received 4 vacuums.

On 8/30, I called the credit card company and no credit has been posted to my account. I called 800-731-4595, 800-716-8667, and 711-8357 and was not able to speak to a live person - they were all just recordings. Then I called 800-204-5588 and spoke to a live person. She said that she just took orders and could not help me. In frustration, I sent another e-mail. Of course,l I got no response. Sent e-mail again on 8/31.

On 8/31, I received on e-mail back at 5:20 pm that said to call 800-716-8667 (which is the same number that I have called before). You can not talk to a live person at this number.

On 9/1, I called 800-716-8667 and tried pressing "6" to reach a live person (even though it was not offered). Just held until was disconnected.

On 9/6, I realized that Igia waited until just after 60 days before saying they will issue a credit to my credit card account so I couldn't go to my credit card company and disput the charge.

On 9/8, called credit card company, no credit has ben issued to my account. Called 800-711-8357, explained my problem, was transfered to his supervisor. Got his voice mail, left message, never recevied a call back.

On 9/16, called 800-711-8357 spoked to "Valerie" and explained problem She said that she will issue s call tag to have the two vacuums picked up and that it would take about a week and a half. Once received, a credit to my account would be issued. Federal Express to this day (11/8/05), has not come to pick them up. No credit has ever been issed to my credit card account.

On 10/4, called again and was transferred to the supervisor's voice mail. I left a mesage and never have heard back.

Besides the billing and ordering problems - the advisertisement is misleading. It does not say anything about the filter having to be replaced frequently (and how expensive they are). I originally thought the one that I got free, I would give as a Christmas gift, but because of the filter situation and when trying to vacuum with it, I felt like it is a toy vacuum cleaner.

I will not be giving one as a gift. I have already had the handle break on the vacuum that I have used a few times (since I don't have any replacement filters since the advertisement never mentioned it).

Do not buy this product. I feel very stupid for falling for this.
