I ordered a Windstorm vacuum (buy 1/get 1 free) from the IGIA infomercial in Oct 2005 Total cost of vacuums + filters and S&H was $174.82 charged to my VISA. I received the vacuums in Nov. 2005 (I did not open the package) I decided I did not want them.

I obtained a return address to send them back and was instructed to send them back VIA certified mail. Sent them to: Brass Logistics 900 Zambrano St Commerce, CA 90040. (I even insured them for $175. Total cost to send back $36) I verified that the warehouse received them on 11/26/06. Confirmation # 0305 1720 0002 3514 0010.

Called for my refund 12/29/05 Melissa advised refund being issued, takes 4-5 wks.

Called 1/19/06 Daisy advised refund takes 4-5 wks.

Called 1/30/06 Gloria advised can put a rush on it, takes 2 - 2 1/2 wks. She advised refund amount $137.82, they don't refund S&H charges.

Called 2/8/06 Gloria states should have in 2 wks, by 28th. Also spoke w/ Supervisor Monica who said same thing.

Called 2/22/06 - customer service closed today

Called 2/23/06 Johnny gave me a reference #7779122 should have posted back to credit card by 28th, will rush.

Called 3/3/06 Anna advised next date that refund could be issued is 3/28/06.

Called 3/8/06 & 3/14/06 customer service closed today.

Called 3/28/06 Maria advised can put rush on it, will be posted 4/7/06. Called back on 3/28 & spoke w/ Monica who said she spoke w/ acconts payable and it will be posted 4/7/06. She said to call her back @ ext 103 or 141, ask for her or Judy if not posted by 4/7/06.

Called on 4/10/06 no answer.

Called on 4/11/06 I spoke with Supervisor Monica and she stated my refund would be credited to my account on 4/21/06.

I have even called the corporate office #212-575-0500 several times & they take my name & number & say someone will call back after 5pm (no one does)

On 3/3/06 I sent a complaint letter to IGIA via certified mail return receipt# 7005 3110 0004 0731 6385. I did not receive the return receipt back nor did I receive a response to my complaint letter.

I call them regularly, now I am placed on hold by voice message and then phone goes to continuous ringing (rang for 45 minutes on 4/21/06, no one picked up) I called several times 4/20 & 4/21 never spoke to anyone in customer service.

I have since filed a complaint with the BBB (March 20th, 2006) I have also filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. I just want to be at least refunded the $137.82

I was advisd on 4/7/06 by one of the customer service reps that best way to get results is to file complaint with the Attorney Generals office. She also stated tha she has seen it take up to 6 months for people to get refunds and sometimes up to a year.

Please help me to obtain at least my refund of the $137.82. I realize I will have to chalk up the loss of the $37 S&H they charged to send me the vacuums and the return cost of $36 to just a very bad decision to buy from this company.

Finally got my money

This may help others get their refund. I found out that our local TV station had interviewed someone on this IGIA vacuum. I contacted them & was given a persons name at the cable company. She then gave me a number to the Media Director @ IGIA - Susan Levy - ph# 212-575-0500 x148. I called, left a message & to my surprise she returned my call. I have 2 email addresses (not sure if any good, no response back on those) [email protected] or [email protected] I explained my story & she said I would have my money within 2 weeks (how many of us have heard that) Well it was true. I received my money May 2006. I put it on hold at my credit union for 10days. I actually received the cost of the vacuums + filters + their shipping & handling charges = total received back $174.82. Exactly what I paid. Only money I'm out now is the shipping charge to send the vacuums back to them. I tried the Attorney Generals office, I tried a dispute form with my credit card company (I probably was to late to file, but if done right away would produce results) I tried BBB.
