I made the mistake of ordering an IGIA product from a television info-mercial. The product was the supposedly-miraculous hair remover, Epil-Stop & Spray.

I placed my order in early May 2001 and was guaranteed delivery within 4-6 weeks. When I did not receive my shipment in 7 weeks, I visited the IGIA web-site and found a telephone number listed for customer service. I tried several times throughout the day and, SURPRISE...it was ALWAYS busy!!

I went back to the website and found an e-mail address for customer service. I promptly emailed them with my concern and include my order number and order date, etc. THEY NEVER REPLIED.

Sometime in the middle of August my order was finally delivered. I immediately tried it and IT SUCKED! The commercial promised easy hair removal, no odor, no skin irritation, etc. First of all, it did smell. Secondly, after leaving the product on for double the time required, it did absolutely nothing. The commercial shows men using this product to remove back hair but this stuff wouldn't even take a little bit of stubble off my legs!

With my order was the same phone number I had tried previously. I tried again for several days in a row at all different times of the day. It didn't matter if I tried at eight o'clock at night or eight in the morning, that line was busy! I tried e-mailing them again. The website specifically states to send an e-mail to this address for a return authorization if you're unsatisfied but, again, no one ever replied. I re-sent the same request three more times and then I gave up. This product is supposed to have a 30 day money back guarantee but it's impossible to contact IGIA, unless you want to buy something from them, of course.

I contacted the Better Busineess Bureau and read some similar complaints from others who had the same experience with IGIA. I never filed a claim of my own, however, because the BBB noted that most claims against IGIA were never resolved. People unfortunately have lost a lot of money of their poor quality products and TERRIBLE service.
