Yes, Wikipedia is sometime a great place to pull information, however, have you ever thought about the phrase rather than pasting its meaning as a jab against me?

Technically, can you honestly say that the consumer of the IL Toll System is being represented by the excessive tax they've placed upon us and the lack of service or care that goes into their construction zones. I as many others I'm sure consistently feel like we were a forethought to what they do on these roads. So in a sense, you are wrong as well about the phrase you pasted into your paragraph from Wikipedia. At least all of my words were from my mind and my thoughts. I don't need to copy and paste anything from the internet into my paragraphs to convey my point.

Still, this report was written to show the disapproval of the IL Toll Authority. Do you not think it's excessive to see an 80+% increase just like that? 

To respond to passages 1-4, our household income is 100K per year for the two of us. I am 30 years old, my wife 34 years old. We have never used welfare, unemployment, disability or any other so called "social welfare" program. We both take pride in the work that we do. It's just that we are trying to make a life for ourselves, save for the future and plan for a child. I recently moved from WI, so no, I have not had a chance to vote individuals out of office. But as I see it, no matter which way you vote, this state seems to buck what America is about all the way. We are neither Democrats or Republicans, we are Americans; just in case a certain party is attacking me because of political views.

I apologize for any inaccuracies in regards to the "taxation without representation" speech. What I meant is that I am being taxed extremely high, but I don't see that money being put into our economy in this state. Take the Rockford area for example. 2/3 of my property tax goes to schools who produce the worst graduates at a rate of 75% if even. I see roads in disrepair, blatant pokes to us the consumers and still taxes are increasing. The toll increase in my eyes was a blatant jab at us, the drivers.
I'm surprised that as many people believe it's acceptable to have an 80+% hike in a tax that is not supposed to even exist any more. I guess you all can just keep paying those tolls. Maybe you all missed my point that WI collects less money, but has a better infrastructure. Wouldn't a higher population mean higher collection of all taxes from property and sales, all the way to license plate fees, etc. A higher population means more people and more tax being collected. So the jab about WI having a lower population makes no sense.

Maybe it's just me, but do we live to pay taxes? I understand and believe certain taxes are warranted, however, excessive tax is not fair and not acceptable.

Did you elect your state officials? Did those state officals approve the toll roads?


Then you are being taxed WITH representation. If you want the taxes lowered, then elect state reprentatives that are against toll roads. You elected the officals that made the toll roads, this is not taxation without representation.

Is this what's really happening to you?

"I demand that the toll booths be removed all over the state and that myself and all of the drivers in the road get their money back all the way back to the year the Tollway Authority was supposed to be ended."
This statement is certainly characteristic of an entitlement minded welfare drone.

That's because Wisconsin has less than half the population of Illinois. Have you considered moving to Wyoming?
