I paid for and registered for the "Pro" version of the iBackup View, software to extract text messages, phone records, and other data from my iphone.

Through job changes, and laptop changes, and the challenges of a busy lifestyle, but without any malice or ill intention - just trying to manage my data - I ended up installing the software on three different computers.

Their online system rightly detected the multiple installations, and cancelled my paid registration. I understand that.

I respectfully asked that they re-authorize the license for a single computer, and explained that I'm happy to have it installed and licensed on a single computer.

Via e-mail support, Shannon, seemingly the only support person, refused, and insisted I buy a new license.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect them to re-authorize the license for a single computer per my request. In any event, their detection solution works and would prevent use on multiple computers.

So, I've been ripped off by a poor customer experience, and by their refusal to honor the single paid license I have.

I recommend people look to other solutions.
