On January 9,2004 I too received a call from a female stating that I qualified for a credit card and with my sometimes too trusting self and also never having a credit card, agreed. The female swithced me over to a gentleman who verified my bank account among other information said that my account would be debited on January the 15th, 2004 for $279.00. On the 15th it was debited. Weeks later a manilla envelope appeared in the mail with a bunch of advertisements and coupons for trips. I called the 1-866-233-2688 number and spoke with Mr. Buddha. He told me to send 30.00 and I would then receive my card in two weeks. I argued and told him that that's not in the verbal agreement we had on the phone. I called two weeks later around 4:30 pm and was on hold until 4:55 pm and then a so called customer service representative said please hold we somehow were disconnected(wouldn't ya know) and when i tried to call back , the recording stated they were closed because by then it was after 5:00 pm. I finally got through a few days later and spoke with Jimmy, again, and he told me my bank account would be credited that Friday. The weirdest thing is I did not even give the SOB my name, when he answered the phone.. If there is anyone out there who receives a call from these cruddy lowdown animals who prey on innocent hard working citizens. They must be stopped and by the grace of God they will be...Could you even imagine how much of a profit these people have made with our money..
