Complaint Review: In Demand Enterprises LLC - Rensselaer New York

I apologies for the delay in responding to this complaint.  I just recently became aware of RipOffReport and would like to clear this matter up for everyone.  This customer purchased a 40,000 mile Cadillac from our dealership that he saw advertised on eBay.  We discounted the price a large amount to please him and make the deal.  He was very pleased with the car when he arrived to pick it up and agreed to purchase it.  On his drive home from NY to SC one of the coil packs which creates spark for one of the spark plugs failed and caused the engine to misfire and run rough.  A coil pack is approximately $60 at any auto parts store and less than an hour worth of labor.  Instead of calling us with a reasonable request for a $200-300 refund to cover the cost of the roadside repair, he insisted on $1300 which was absolutely way too much.  We tried to be reasonable and if the customer still wants the $200-300 refund, the offer is still available.  We maintain a Top Rated Seller Status and Powerseller Status on eBay with 100% positive feedback and are also highly rated with the BBB.  I hope this helps to clarify this issue.  Thank you!

There is no such thing as an unsolicited remark on a site like this.  Just the fact that you posted something gives everyone else permission to make whatever rebuttals they like whether you agree with them or not.

The fact remains that buying a car on the internet sight unseen is a risk and you were apparently willing to assume that risk.

People do it successfully but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

FYI New York State has lemon law protection for used vehicles as well. Please check with NYS Department of Motor vehicles. A dealer in NYS cannot sell a vehicle without a 30, 60 or 90 day warranty depending on age & mileage of the vehicle. There is no such thing as an "as is" deal in NYS, concerning a dealer sale anyway. Check it out.

Next time just flush your money down the toilet and save yourself the trip.

Buying a USED CAR sight unseen on the internet is pure nonsense.  You demonstrated why that is when the car you bought before you even laid eyes on it or had it checked out by a mechanic turned out to be junk.

But then again, there's a sucker born every minute!

No one asked you for your unsolicited, immature remarks, for "buying" a vehicle on EBAY is common practice and an element of security exists on EBAY! I have purchased many cars on EBAY with satisfactory results.

Just because there are rip-off people that circumvent honesty, does not mean that they are all of the same mind-set.

Please keep your opinions elsewhere, in the garbage where they belong!

You took on ALL the risks when you went thru with this deal of buying a used car sight unseen over the internet. I mean really, do you actually expect somebody with common sense to feel sorry for you? Should everybody be honest in their financial dealings? Of course they should. But the average person learns by the second grade honest dealing is scarce in this society. Why then would you send off your money to somebody you don't know to buy a used car you've never seen? That, my friend, is beyond reasonable comprehension!!!
