I went to the photoshoot today and it seemed to go okay. I informed the photographer about my suspicions and he guaranteed me that he was a freelance photographer and that he had no affiliation with this agency. I made sure with him that I would get the prints from my shoot and he told me that within three weeks they should be in. If anything shady goes down within the next three weeks I will be sure to report it and make the public increasingly aware of the credibility of this agency. If you hear back from me within the next three weeks, then you will know that this company is scamming people.

A few years ago a so-called Talent Agency wanted to hire me as a scout. First of all, as an investigator, I went in and gave them a fake name. They wanted to hire me on the spot and have me go out and find 'talent'. They NEVER asked for a license or ID, and did no background check. All these companies are out to do is scam folks like you. I never took the job, but it was a real eye-opener into that ugly business. Years ago a talent agency wanted me to be a model/actress. They offered me a job right away and were dead set on getting my money for a photo shoot. I declined and they made it really hard to cancel. Anything I signed was basically signing my life away in blood. (I paid $100 at the time or less and never saw a penny back.)
Anyhow, I wish I could recall the names of the companies, but they sound very much like Infinite that you describe. The one who wanted me to be a talent scout was in Phoenix and they said they were opening more locations. The owner claims to have had ties to the Backstreet boys or some crap. As an insider trainee at the one company, I saw that they had a huge website of talent and claim all the major motion picture companies hire from them. Its a total lie. All they have to do to say that is merely "send those studios" a brochure "offering" their service. They hold no contracts with studios and as far as I know being a screenwriter, NO major company hires from these rinky dink outfits. Tell everyone you know so they don't get scammed. I'm sorry to hear you lost all that money. Those folks are professional con-artists who tell people what they want to hear just so money keeps rolling in. You probably signed a contract and there's nothing you can do really because these people hire attorneys to pad their contracts and services with specific wording that when legally interpreted says: "we never promised anything" and somehow the law allows them to keep scamming. The best we can all do is ruin their name so that more people aren't ripped off.
