At the end of June, I ordered a 12 article package from Rynaldo Stoltz. It was my second order from Rynaldo for 12 articles. My first order in May was processed fine so I had no reason to suspect the scam I was about to be hit with.

After receiving 4 articles, I got an email from Rynaldo that the order count has been off and that really they sent me 5 articles. I scheduled to follow up on why they were wrong in their article count with my next article received. 5 days go by and I never received anymore articles. I was scheduled to receive articles from Mr Stoltz at the rate of 3 per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So I dropped the fact that Mr. Stoltz was off in the article number count and focused on the more important issue of my entire order being filled.

Mr. Stoltz responded that due to the overwhelming popularity of his service, he has had to hire more writers. 4 more writers were coming on board and that he would have the articles I ordered to me by that Friday (which was 3 days later). Further, Mr. Stoltz added that for my trouble, he'll throw in another free article. I thought how nice Mr. Stoltz is, boy was I wrong.

I did not get any articles 3 days later. But, Mr. Stoltz had given me a free article and I liked his service in the past so I gave him about 2 weeks to get an article to me. I heard nothing. I sent Mr. Stoltz an email that I was mad and why had I not heard from him regarding my order. I heard nothing back. After 3 more days had passed, I logged into Paypal and saw the deadline fast approaching that I could file a dispute on the purchase (must be within 45 days). I filed the dispute and emailed Rynaldo that he gave me no other choice.

Rynaldo never responded to the dispute in Paypal and so after 2 more days of hearing nothing, I escalated it to a claim. Paypal automatically sent the claim amount at the full $96 per their own internal policies. Another 2 weeks go by and I hear nothing from Rynaldo until today:

"The last 2 weeks I have not been in the office as I had just returned from a business trip.

I have done my rounds in our system and your order was marked as complete on August 3, 2012 with a final post count of 7 and digitally delivered via email (zip format), as usual. Some incompetent clown must have made an error on our system when logging completed orders.

We are more than happy to give you a refund, should you still be interested. Alternatively, since I am back in office now, I can set high priority on the outstanding part of your order and have a CAPABLE staff member attend to it in no time. Seems when ever you leave the workplace, there is always someone messing up. We ask that you kindly redraw the claim and allow me to take control of things from here."

There's no way in hell I trust this guy and that he's going to con me into cancelling my claim with Paypal. The only reason he's even talking with me is because of my Paypal claim. Not to mention is article count of 7 is completely wrong as I only received 4 articles from him (once again, he's making article completion adjustment amounts always in his favor).

But then Rynaldo tugs on my heart strings in another email and gets me to compromise, ALMOST. He writes:

"However, we have never before been in a situation in which we were facing a dispute and to be rather honest about it, I don't like the idea. I would really NOT want a compromised reputation.

These last few weeks we have had trouble with our staffing (still not excusing the service), and I should have been on things my side (without fail), ensuring timely delivery.

I would like to ask that we please excuse the dispute with NO refund. We will have the outstanding posts attended to immediately.

Furthermore, we would like to offer you a complete (12 pack), package on the house (free of charge) for the trouble."

I can't trust the guy. If I cancel the claim, that's it, it's over and Paypal warns you about this. He has my money and I have no recourse but to not cancel the claim. How could I put my trust back into someone who took money from me nearly 45 days earlier and only delivered 1/3 of the order? It's like shame on you once, shame on me twice. No, I'm not getting back into bed with this guy. I can't trust him anymore and the claim with Paypal is my last safety net.

But what if Rynaldo is telling the truth. What if he is a good business guy and doesn't want a claim against him? So I come up with an ingenious compromise. I tell him that I will cancel the claim if he sends me $43 (50%) to my Paypal email account. I know. I'm giving the guy a deal because he only delivered 1/3 the articles I ordered but whatever. I'm cool. I'm not going to penny pinch.

Rynaldo then replies that he tried to send me the $43 but he's locked out of his Paypal account because of my claim and if I cancel the claim, he'll refund me the 50%. YEAH RIGHT! I know the way Paypal works and a business does not get locked out of their Paypal account because of a dispute/claim filed against them. We then get into a tit for tat argument back and forth and I tell Rynaldo the 50% deal is off because he lied to me. He said that he has a 0 balance in his Paypal account which is why he can't send me 50%. I don't believe the guy.

There's always some innocent sounding excuse with him about why he ripped me off now some 45 days ago without delivering what I paid for. He was on a 2 week trip, someone incompetent in his office made an error, he has to hire more writers, he has 0 money in his Paypal account. What business has 0 in their Paypal account and doesn't budget for customer refunds/cancels, etc. His entire focus was to try and get me to cancel the claim with Paypal, the only level of protection I have and the only reason he even started responding to my emails.

I told him I would be contacting the BBB and RipOffReport with my story if he didn't do the right thing and refund my money. He tried to intimidate me with defamation claim and also he googled my name and referred to me as "Mr CSET" in order to intimidate me like he can find out about me or something like I even care. I also told him the reporting to the BBB and RipOffReport is scheduled (I schedule everything because I'm a busy guy). I warned him that I was done arguing with over 14 emails back and forth and to not email me again and if he continued, I would report him to his ISP for harassment.  Here is his final email to me (notice the insulting tone):

"Lance, Hahaha, I am sure you're an adult ! Seriously ? Scheduled the process?

Lance, go ahead ! Do what you think is going to make you happy Mr CSET... Go ahead and do what pleases you. Report me with my ISP , way to go champ ! Just so you know my friend , other than you , we have a really good STANDING customer base !!!

Come on, if you really wanted to make things easier in getting your money, I am sure you would have reversed things already... Do what you want ;)"

Notice the smiley faces and he thinks its a joke with taking my $97 some 45 days ago and only giving me 3 articles for it. He never really got it through his head that he still has my money and he failed to deliver what he promised. He should have refunded me for my order as soon as he had problems with writers and couldn't deliver the 3 articles per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, per our legal binding business agreement.

I have a claim in with Paypal but who knows if that will be honored and go in my favor. Will update this report on any further emails from Rynaldo or what happens with Paypal.

Rynaldo Refund

#2Author of original report

Mon, August 20, 2012

Rynaldo checked his records and had a count of 7 completed articles for a total refund to me of $40.

Rynaldo issued that refund promptly and in a professional manner.

So Rynaldo did NOT run off with money as the title of the report suggests.

I think Rynaldo is a nice guy and that he just had a bad series of incidents right after each other that caused this mess.

Rynaldo sent the following series of very nice emails regarding finding out the actual article count:

"I will check in with you (and respond properly) within a few hours.

I will not let you down.

Once again, thank you!"

... then this nice email:

"Once again, I do apologize for all the trouble and inconvenience we have put you through."

I am happy with how this finally got resolved. I know that these reports can not be deleted from Ripoff Report but if you guys could close this case and/or delete this report that would be great. - Thank you RipOffReport

New Rynaldo Email

#3Author of original report

There may have been a mis-communication between Rynaldo and myself. I took his smiley faces and his wording "We'll let Paypal decide" to mean that if Paypal decides in his favor, he's going to run off with my money.

Rynaldo has emailed me and stated that a refund is coming and he needs to check his records to verify how much of a refund.

Also, my thoughts that Rynaldo was trying to get me to cancel the claim with Paypal were meant as my thoughts and not a reflection on Rynaldo's real intentions or anything else. I admit that I am a little paranoid in dealing with Rynaldo because of my past bad experience.
