I signed up with Instant Checkmate to do a background check on someone. I had trouble with the Adobe on line version -- no reports would show up. I called for help and they couldn't, so I said just to cancel the whole thing. The person said he would and that he would reimburse my $23.80 since I was only online for the whole transaction for about an hour, and then I was sent an email confirming my account would be canceled. When after a week and a half the reimbursement didn't show up on my bank statement, I called them and asked why. The woman kept talking over me and wouldn't let me get a word in. I asked to speak to her manager. She asked if she could put me on hold while she tried to locate one. However, she forgot to put me on hold and (intentionally?) let me hear the conversation with her "manager" in which she called me names and said, "She's off her rocker." How's that for great customer service. Oh, and I never got my money back and don't expect to. Totally unprofessional and I could tell from the beginning of the conversation that I was not going to be able to get any results. Horrible experience!
